Chasing Life – 2×03 Sneak Peek: April Dress Shopping
The 23-year-old actress recruited her Chasing Life cast mates Aisha Dee, Richard Brancatisano, Steven Weber, Jessica Meraz and Abhi Sinha for the massive pillow fight all in the name of charity for the AARDA (American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association).
“There are over 50 types of Autoimmune Diseases and no one knows the cause or is anywhere close to the cure. My beautiful human of a mother deals with 4 autoimmune diseases. Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Dermatomyositis, and Relapsing Polychondritis. I know, it’s a lot of letters,” Haley wrote to JJJ. “Autoimmune disease attacks your body, your cartilage and organs. As you can imagine, this would be a difficult thing to wrap your head around and even more difficult to deal with on a daily basis.”
She continued, “So that brings me to the #PJPillow Fight Challenge. When I first started working with AARDA they asked me to make a video a la ‘Ice Bucket Challenge’. Patients who suffer from Autoimmune diseases all experience a great deal of fatigue, so lots of pillow time. What better way to bring awareness to this than to have a fun pillow fight or dance in your pajamas with your friends, co-workers, neighbors, family, strangers, pets, etc… I decided to gather the cast of Chasing Life, have an epic pillow fight and challenge other shows/actors/friends/family/etc. to do the same! I mean what’s the point if we don’t go big, right?”

Haley Ramm sits for some gorgeous portraits in the latest issue of Composure magazine.
The 23-year-old actress opened up to the glossy about what’s in store for the upcoming second season of her show Chasing Life. Check it:
On the show: I love working on Chasing Life. It’s my first series so it’s really exciting. I’ve heard horror stories about people being on shows and not getting along with the cast but everyone [at Chasing Life] gets along so well, and I feel lucky to be on a show where we talk about really important topics. People who normally feel like they can’t relate [to certain characters] can relate when they watch this show. I love all the characters that have been written and I love our writers so much.
On how she’s been influenced by the characters: “I think if I’ve been influenced by the show in any way, it would just be living in the moment. That’s kind of what [the show is] all about: being your truest self and living in the moment.”
On Brenna’s story in the upcoming season: “Brenna is going to be maturing a lot throughout this next season. It’s an exciting time and she’s entering adulthood and that goes for all the characters. Everyone matures a little bit. I think the second season is more fun on any show because [as a viewer] you’ve gotten to know the characters and you’ve been through a lot with them.”
