John Boyega goes to battle on the new Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens covers for Entertainment Weekly, on newsstands November 13.
The 23-year-old actor shared the special editions with his co-stars Harrison Ford, Daisy Ridley, and R2D2 and C-3PO.
John his character’s struggles: “He wants to change. He wants to make a difference. He’s trying to find some moral dignity within this kind of war.”
Harrison on Solo flying the Falcon: “There’s a lot of the rogue still left in Solo. Some things don’t change.”
Director JJ Abrams on the new characters: “Among my favorite aspects of what George Lucas created was showing us people who were Everyman and �woman, essentially absolute nobodies, who had to step up. You’re looking at a new crop of nobodies who are challenged to become somebodies.”

The cast of Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens just revealed some brand new character posters from the movie!
Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren, Han Solo and Leia are all featured on the posters. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and more are starring in the movie, to be released on December 18.
John and Daisy both debuted their character posters on the Instagram accounts to some very excited fans!
“It is my very great honour to reveal this INSANELY EXCITING poster for The Force Awakens!!!! IT’S REY!!! Looking all freckly from the Jakku sun and as if there’s an adventure to be had!!! AHHHH!” Daisy captioned her poster.

Daisy Ridley is sandwiched in between her Star Wars: The Force Awakens co-stars John Boyega and Oscar Isaac while attending a fan concert held during 2015 Comic-Con on Friday night (July 10) in San Diego, Calif.
The three castmates were joined by the rest of the film’s cast – including Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, and Gwendoline Christie – at the Hall H panel earlier in the day.
