Big news – He’s All That will premiere on Netflix!
The upcoming She’s All That remake, starring Addison Rae and Tanner Buchanan, will debut on the streaming service later this year, Deadline reveals.
“DREAM COME TRUE @netflix!!!!! ♥️ 190 countries.. insane. 🤯,” Addison shared on Instagram with the news.
Addison stars as Padgett Sawyer in the movie, which will be a contemporary story that follows an influencer (Rae) who accepts a challenge to turn the school’s biggest loser (Buchanan) into prom king.
The upcoming gender-swapped reimagining also stars Madison Pettis, Myra Molloy, Peyton Meyer, Isabella Crovetti, Annie Jacob, Andrew Matarazzo and Dominic Goodman. OG She’s All That star Rachael Leigh Cook will play Addison‘s mom in the film, and Kourtney Kardashian will also have a role.
Filming on the movie wrapped in December with Mark Waters directing, and original She’s All That producers Jennifer Gigbot and Andrew Panay producing. Original screenwriter R. Lee Fleming also wrote the remake script.

The 20-year-old stars as Padgett Sawyer in the upcoming She’s All That, gender swapped remake.
“Can’t believe we wrapped yesterday. tears,” Addison wrote with a photo on her Instagram story on Saturday (December 19).
“I can’t believe we wrapped @HesAllThatMovie 😭😭😭 I’m so blessed to have worked with such an amazing cast/crew. I can’t wait for y’all to see the finished product. this is a dream come true,” she added on her Twitter account.
Also starring in the movie include Tanner Buchanan, Madison Pettis, Isabella Crovetti, Myra Molloy, Peyton Meyer, Annie Jacob, Andrew Matarazzo and Dominic Goodman, as well as Kourtney Kardashian and Rachael Leigh Cook.

Addison Rae and her movie mom Rachael Leigh Cook recreated a scene from She’s All That!
The 20-year-old is starring in the upcoming gender-swapped, modern remake of the movie, which Rachael actually starred in.
In a new TikTok video, Rachael reprised her role and recreated a scene with Addison, who did Freddie Prinze Jr‘s part, where he shows up at Rachael‘s character Laney’s house to ask her out to a beach day with friends. If you didn’t know, Addison‘s role in the remake is actually the gender-swapped version of Freddie‘s character!
Just the other day, during the last week of filming, it was revealed that Rachael will be playing Addison‘s mom in the remake, though it’s unclear if it will be the same character. It’s possible that she’ll be a new character though, who is just described as “wise and caring.”
The original star of She’s All That, Rachael Leigh Cook, has joined the cast of the upcoming remake, He’s All That!
It was just revealed that the actress, who played Laney Boggs in the 1999 film, will play Addison Rae‘s mom.
“Look who’s back! Rachael Leigh Cook (@rachaelleighcook) joins the #HesAllThat family, playing Padgett’s (@addisonraee) wise and caring mother,” the movie’s official Instagram revealed.
“I’m thrilled to be reunited with so many familiar faces! This version has a great new spin that I think people will really enjoy,” Rachel said, via Variety.
Rachael‘s role in the original film is the same role that Tanner Buchanan is taking on in the reimagined, gender-swapped film. Tanner plays “Cameron Kweller, the least popular boy in school. In an attempt to avenge her reputation from an embarrassing fallout with her boyfriend, Padgett accepts the challenge to turn Cameron into the school’s Prom King.”

Tanner Buchanan and Addison Rae continue working through the evening on the set of He’s All That on Tuesday (December 8) in Los Angeles.
The co-stars were joined by their castmates on set that day, though they’re not pictured.
That day, Tanner celebrated his 22nd birthday, and got a lot of birthday wishes on social media from his He’s All That castmates. He was even given a Los Angeles Rams birthday cake on set!
Also that day, it was revealed that one of Addison‘s besties, Kourtney Kardashian, has joined the cast of the film.
“studying @hesallthatmovie,” Kourtney captioned an Instagram post, to which Addison commented, “worrkkkkkkk❤️.”
Kourtney is playing Jessica Miles Torres in the movie, though it’s unclear just who her character is.

Addison Rae is opening up about the steps she took to prepare for her big film debut in He’s All That!
Though the 20-year-old has already starred in a movie, she voiced the lead character in the animated flick Spy Cat, this is her first on-screen movie role.
On a new episode of her podcast Mama Knows Best, Addison dished on what she did to prepare herself.
“I started by working out every day, like five days a week for two hours in the morning, from like 8 to 10, and then sometimes I’ll do like hot Pilates after just so I can continue to be in shape for this movie and look my best, although it’s honestly not working. I’m literally looking the exact same as I was 6 months ago…” she said.
“It was intimidating at first because it was a lot of lines, but I feel like I memorized it pretty easily,” Addison said about memorizing lines. “It just comes with listening to the other person… It’s not memorizing, it’s listening… If you think of it too much, like memorizing every single line, then you never have like genuine reactions or anything because you’re just waiting for them to stop talking so you can, instead of responding like a normal conversation.”

Myra Molloy is giving us a little peek at He’s All That!
The actress, who plays Addison Rae‘s best friend in the movie, shared a couple photos on Instagram of her, Addison and Madison Pettis.
“We cute 😗✌🏼 @hesallthatmovie,” she captioned one photo.
Their co-star Annie Jacob commented, saying, “But not really cuz I’m not there,” and “I dislike this photo.”
Myra also shared a silly photo on her Instagram photo, which you can see in the gallery.
