Hey Violet are still really close with 5 Seconds of Summer, seeing as how they’re signed to their label and all.

During an interview with Billboard’s Pop Shop podcast, the band — Rena Lovelis, Miranda Miller, Nia Lovelis, Casey Moreta, and Iain Shipp — dished about working with 5SOS and how they’ve influenced them.

“I think they boosted our confidence as well a little bit,” Nia shared.

Rena adds, “Definitely. We started out as a very shy band.”

Nia also says that Hey Violet and 5SOS have a really great bond with each other: “They came in and they’re really smart. They’re very passionate about music, and they always wanted to understand us.”

“We’ve always had that kind of friendship and respect between us and it makes it easier. We go on road trips and share demos, and I’m trying to think of the right word… ya, mutual respect.”

2016 Jingle Ball officially wrapped up this weekend with a final concert in Sunrise, Fla!

JJJ was on hand for the whole experience at the BB&T Center and we gave you a behind-the-scenes look on our Instagram Story.

So super cute! Sabrina Carpenter gave a kiss to the Coca-Cola bear at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2016!

The “On Purpose” singer was giving us major Queen Elsa vibes with her braided hair — which we love! We wish we could do this to our hair!

Sabrina, along with Daya, Zara Larsson, Hey Violet and Los 5 all performed at the Village Pre-Show just outside Staples Center last night before the big show.

Ashton Irwin and Calum Hood run into fans while arriving for a flight at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon (August 17).

The two 5 Seconds of Summer guys arrived at the airport for a flight out to their next venue on their Sounds Live Feels Live tour.

Just the day before, the band sent congrats out to their tour mates, and first signers to their record label, Hey Violet on their new EP.

“proud of our tour mates @heyviolet! their new ep brand new moves is out today,” 5SOS wrote.

Congrats to Hey Violet on the release of their new EP!

The band – sisters Rena and Nia Lovelis, and Miranda Miller, and Casey Moreta – dropped Brand New Moves via Caroline Records.

“We mixed the tracks a bit ’80s style with more synths and drums that sound really fat and big with a groove” Rena said. “We’re ready and excited to share what we’ve been working on!”

ICYDK: Hey Violet recently won the 2016 Teen Choice Award for “Next Big Thing” and is currently touring with 5 Seconds of Summer.

Forever in Your Mind look super cute as they arrive on the carpet at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards held at The Forum on Sunday (July 31) in Inglewood, Calif.

The guys – Ricky Garcia, Emery Kelly, and Liam Attridge – were joined on the carpet by fellow groups Hey Violet and New District.

“Happy 3 years baby #3yearsofFIYM @OfficialFIYM,” Ricky tweeted that day.

Also in attendance that night were Dance Mom star JoJo Siwa, Kendall Vertes, and Kalani Hilliker.

FYI: The guys of FIYM are wearing AllSaints jackets, shirts, and boots.
