Sofia Wylie had a VERY emotional moment in the series finale of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
However, director and writer of the final episode, Tim Federle, who’s also the show’s creator, revealed that that scene wasn’t entirely scripted and the actress went off script.

High School Musical: The Musical: The Series has aired it’s final season ever on Disney+!
In the new episodes, it gets a bit more meta than usual as they film High School Musical 4: The Reunion, and we get several appearances from OG cast members of the original movie franchise.
However, there were some notably missing, but that doesn’t mean there wasn’t an effort to get them on.
In recent interviews, series creator and showrunner Tim Federle revealed he had reached out to everyone.

Disney+ is debuting the fourth and final season of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series this week!
The past three seasons have all dropped new episodes weekly throughout their runs, however, in a turn of events for the last season, the streamer decided to drop all eight episodes at one time.

Joshua Bassett is opening up about writing another original song for the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series soundtrack, which will appear in the final season.
The 22-year-old actor and musician is no stranger to helping write songs for the show.
He’s also written or co-written “Just For a Moment” for season one, “The Perfect Gift” for the Holiday Special and “Finally Free” for season three.
His latest tune for the show is “Speak Out,” and it’s another duet, this time with someone maybe unexpected – EJ, played by Matt Cornett.

The actors, who portray Ashlyn, Carlos and Kourtney, respectively, head into a new school year in the new episodes after returning from summer camp and some newfound fame thanks to the docu-series.
However, the effects of some things that were seen and heard in the docu-series take their toll as they return to East High, get to work on their fall musical (High School Musical 3) and the added presence of High School Musical 4: The Reunion filming at their school at the same time.
