It has been several months since we last heard anything about the upcoming The Spiderwick Chronicles!
Now, a year after the show’s young lead actors were announced, it is being revealed that Disney+ has decided to no longer continue with the series adaptation.
The Spiderwick Chronicles is of course based on the books by Tony DiTerlizzi and Holly Black, which had a film adaptation released in 2008.

The cast of the indie movie Downtown Owl reunited for the premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival!
Vanessa Hudgens and Jack Dylan Grazer were among the stars who walked the carpet on Thursday night (June 8) at the SVA Theatre in New York City.
Lily Rabe was there as she not only stars in the movie, she co-directed the film with her partner Hamish Linklater, who wrote the screenplay too.
Also in attendance at the event were co-stars Finn Wittrock, August Blanco Rosenstein, Emma Halleen, Derek Hughes, Ariana Jaffier, and Alan Arias.
David Harbour, who starred in the Broadway production of The Merchant of Venice alongside Lily back in 2010, came out to show his support.
Here’s the synopsis: “Life in a small town is always hard, but what about a small town that’s about to be hit with a once-in-a-lifetime snowstorm? That’s what the citizens of Owl, North Dakota are about to experience in the winter of 1984. This snowstorm – and the leadup to it – brings together three very different people: nostalgic football fan Horace (Ed Harris), newbie teacher Julia (Rabe), and depressed quarterback Mitch (Rosenstein).”

K-pop was out in full force at Celine’s Cannes Film Festival 2023 dinner hosted by Hedi Slimane and held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Monday (May 22) in Antibes, France.
Two of the biggest stars from two of the biggest K-pop groups, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and BTS‘ V, were among the many in attendance at the event with the fashion brand.
Lisa and V also joined fellow artist Park Bo Gum and Chinese actress Jingyi Zhang for a group photo.
Also in attendance at the dinner were Noah Jupe, Jack Dylan Grazer, Griffin Gluck, Joe Alwyn, Kaia Gerber, Olivia DeJonge, Grace Van Dien, Paul Kircher and Earl Cave among many others.

Jack Dylan Grazer is the latest celeb to reveal a role he ended up not playing.
The 19-year-old actor shared in a recent interview that he was originally supposed to be on the hit series Euphoria, but he chose to go do Shazam! instead.
Both Euphoria season one and Shazam! came out in 2019 and he was working the superhero pic when the series was starting up production the year before.

Rachel Zegler slays another red carpet at the premiere of her new movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods held at Regency Village Theatre on Tuesday (March 14) in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old star was joined by her boyfriend Josh Andres Rivera, marking their first red carpet as a couple in a year.
We last saw them back in 2022 at the Grammys and the Oscars. Since then, the couple filmed their second movie together, The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes!
Also in attendance at the Shazam! premiere were Rachel‘s co-stars – Asher Angel, Jack Dylan Grazer, Ross Butler, Zachary Levi, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Grace Caroline Currey, Djimon Hounsou, DJ Cotrona, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Marta Milans, Meagan Good, Adam Brody with wife Leighton Meester, PJ Byrne and Faithe Herman.
The week before, several of the cast members were over in London for the UK premiere of the upcoming film, which hits theaters THIS Friday (March 17)!

Asher Angel and Jack Dylan Grazer hit the red carpet at the premiere of their film Shazam! Fury of the Gods held at Cineworld Leicester Square on Tuesday (March 7) in London.
The young actors, who play BFFs and foster brothers in the movie, put on different kind of suits for the premiere event.
Joining them were co-stars Rachel Zegler, Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, Djimon Hounsou, and Asher‘s adult superhero counterpart Zachary Levi, as well as director David F Sandberg and DC co-CEO Peter Safran.
Coco Jones, Charlie Barnett and Tallia Storm were also in attendance.
The day before, the cast stepped out for the film’s photo call in the city, after most of them were in Rome the week before.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods follows Billy Batson (Angel) and his fellow foster kids who are bestowed with the power of the gods continue to learn how to juggle their teen life with their adult superhero alter-egos. When the Daughters of Atlas (Mirren, Liu, Zegler), a vengeful trio of ancient gods, arrive on Earth in search of the magic stolen from them long ago, Billy—aka Shazam (Levi)—and his family are thrust into a battle for their superpowers, their lives, and the fate of their world.
The film hits theaters NEXT Friday, March 17th.
