Are you getting excited for the fourth season of The 100!?

We’re still a month away, but some new scoop just came out about Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos)’s character arc this season.

“Octavia’s story in Season 4 is amazing,” executive producer Jason Rothenberg told TVLine.com. “She’s got quite a journey ahead of her, and it gets darker before it gets lighter. She’s taking a detour into assassin land. She’ll do whatever she feels she needs to do to hide the pain from the loss of Lincoln (Ricky Whittle).”

He added, “Who is she? She’s not Skaikru. She’s not Trikru. Who is she now that Lincoln is gone, and that her brother (Bob Morley) – in her mind – is responsible for so many difficult choices? They have some work to do on their relationship. It’s too bad there aren’t any family therapists in this future.”

The 100 returns on Wednesday, February 1 @ 9PM on The CW.

Showrunner Jason Rothenberg has released a statement after Ricky Whittle‘s bullying comments made headlines on the internet.

Ricky, who played Lincoln on The 100, has stated that Jason “bullied” him off the series.

“He [Jason] chose to belittle me and neglect my character and myself. I often had questions and emails were ignored and things like that. It was ridiculous. � That’s one thing that I’ll never forgive him for: He made me walk away from something I really love,” Ricky stated in the interview.

Jason shared in a statement, “Ricky Whittle is a talented actor; I appreciate his work on The 100 and wish him all the best moving forward on American Gods.”

The 26-year-old actress was joined by her co-stars Bob Morley, Lindsey Morgan, Devon Bostick, Christopher Larkin, and Richard Harmon, as well as creator Jason Rothenberg.

Eliza opened up about what we can expect from Clark’s reaction to Lexa’s (Alycia Debnam Carey) death.

“Clarke has always been very good at compartmentalizing, she’s always been very good at pushing forward even in the worst situations, but this one’s different, this is her love,” Eliza said (via Variety). “It’s gonna be really, really tricky for her, and I think it really changes her for good, but in true Clarke fashion, she will somehow get through it.”

It’s been just a few weeks since Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was killed on The 100 and no one has felt the backlash harder than showrunner Jason Rothenberg.

After many interviews, he’s written a letter for his blog that addresses why Lexa is gone and what he’s learned from everything.

“Since our episode ‘Thirteen’ aired three weeks ago, I’ve spent a great deal of time reading letters, blogs, tweets and articles from passionate women and men of all ages who were angered and saddened that the character Lexa was killed off immediately after a love scene with our hero Clarke. I’m still processing this. I’m still learning. But I have gained perspective and more than ever, I am profoundly grateful to you, our fans.

“No series, no episode of television, exists in a vacuum. As an audience, we bring with us our life experience, the events of the time, and the collective memory of all the stories we have been entertained by (or not). Every relationship. Every love scene or act of violence. Every revelation or clich�. Every original story and, yes, every trope. The worst shows retread the formula. The best transcend clich�, opening our eyes to new ways of thinking, and welcome new audiences in.

Tonight’s second-part finale of The 100 left us utterly speechless.

Between Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Bellamy’s (Bob Morley) decision to use radiation to kill all the Mountain Men – including Maya! (Eve Harlow) – and her gunshot to Dante’s chest, it was a finale full of surprises all around.

Not to mention, Clarke decided to pack her bags and head out on her own, while Jaha (Isaiah Washington) and Murphy (Richard Harmon) both encountered clues to what happened to life on Earth 97 years ago.

JJJ caught up with executive producer Jason Rothenberg who answered some of our burning questions and gave us a preview of what’s to come in season three!

JustJaredJr.com: Let’s talk about Clarke first. She’s had to make some really tough and not-so-popular decisions this season for the sake of her people. And now she’s leaving. Tell us about her journey and where she’s headed!

Jason Rothenberg: There are two really big decisions, right? The first of course is the decision to pull the lever and kill everyone in Mount Weather to save her people. And the second, as a result of that and really everything she’s had to do since she’s been on the ground, to just break away and get away from it all. For me, the season has always been about…I knew going into the season that Clarke was going to have to do something so horrible – although it was going to achieve her goal of saving her friends – ultimately, in the victory of that, she wouldn’t be able to celebrate. She wouldn’t feel relief, or happiness, or excitement. She was going to have to be pushed so far and so dark in order to get it done. The result is that is, at the end of this episode, when everyone is walking into the gates, she refuses to go. She was unable to be reminded of what she’s had to do by looking at their faces every day. It’s probably the first selfish thing Clarke’s done since we’ve known her. And I think she’s earned that on some level. In season three, we will find her out there in the world – whether she’s just on a walkabout, just sort of Rambo-style living in a cabin in the words, or whether we find her on some type of other course or mission, we need to wait and see. But it’s a very real choice for her to break away from these people and go off.
