Jenny Han is bringing another one of her book series to the screen!
The To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before author’s “The Summer I Turned Pretty” trilogy is being made into a TV series at Prime Video, Variety reveals.
The series is “a multigenerational drama that hinges on a love triangle between one girl and two brothers, the ever-evolving relationship between mothers and their children, and the enduring power of strong female friendship. It is a coming-of-age story about first love, first heartbreak, and the magic of that one perfect summer.”
“The Summer I Turned Pretty is many years in the making, and I’m so excited to tell Belly’s story in 2021,” Jenny said in a statement. “For the longtime book fans, I think it will have been worth the wait. For those newly discovering the Summer series, I hope you fall in love with these characters and this place that is so dear to my heart.”
Jenny wrote the pilot, will executive produce and serve as co-showrunner on the eight-episode series.

Executive producer and writer of the novel Jenny Han was joined by stars Noah Centineo, Anna Cathcart, and Lana Condor.
“Yup this pretty much sums up the night🤩,” Anna Cathcart captioned the Instagram selfie taken by Noah Centineo below. “AHH THIS WAS INSANE!!! getting to surprise you lovely people and seeing your reactions to our film was surreal! it’s coming so soon guys so so soon💌💌 #toalltheboys2.”
“Tonight was just beyond,” Jenny added on her Instagram with the same photo. “Watching #psistillloveyou with all of you guys made it 1000x sweeter. I only wish everyone could have been there! 😭 To everyone who came and waited in line, we appreciate and love you so much. ❤️”
Jenny Han also included a photo of the group watching from the back of the theater.
Wow so many feelings…” Lana Condor wrote in her Instagram Stories. “I’m so overwhelmed with gratitude for you guys. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing up and for the love. I love you.”
