Little Mix's 'Woman Like Me' Was Written By This Other British Artist

Little Mix announced their brand new single over the weekend and we’re just getting a little more information on the track!

The song, called “Woman Like Me”, was actually written by Jess Glynne, with Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac.

In a recent interview with The Official Vodafone Big Top 40, Jess revealed that the song was originally intended for her record, but while putting it all together, the track didn’t fit.

“…The writing process with an album changes and directions change, and it just didn’t fit with where the album was going,” Jess says. “The girls wanted to use it and I love them, we’re cool, and they recorded it and it sounded great.”

Jess continues, “They got Nicki [Minaj] on it, which is really exciting, and they’re making the most of it. It was going to be one of my main songs a while ago… we had to change some of the lyrics a little bit just to suit them.”

Little Mix‘s “Woman Like You”, featuring Nicki Minaj, will debut on Friday, October 12th.
