The 26-year-old “Hold My Hand” singer recently spoke with press about walking away from X Factor before the show even started it’s season.
“I don’t think there was a problem with the show – it was just the fact that I was very strong-minded, I knew what I wanted, and it wasn’t that,” Jess shared.
She added about what she experienced after walking away, “I decided to write 100 songs and find myself as an artist, and where I wanted to go. And I knew that the only way that I’d find something solid is if I write, write, write and try a million different things and listen to a world of music, as well. Then everything started to change for me.”
The two musicians will be performing at duet at Monday night’s show and to hype fans up, held a fun Twitter Q&A on their social accounts.
“Hey! Errmm, is this the longest hashtag you’ve ever seen? #GRAMMYsAskToriAndJames,” James asked Tori to get things started.
Tori replied, “indeed the longest hashtag in all the land. excited for @thegrammys or nah @JamesBayMusic.”

The 26-year-old “Hold My Hand” singer recently spoke with Out magazine about performing at the event, which honored New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo and actress Sigourney Weaver for their work as LGBT allies.
“I wanted to get involved because I think it’s really important that everyone is equal no matter who they love or how they want to be loved and this is what HRC is all about,” Jess shared.
She added about labels, “I think it’s important because I don’t believe you should be labeled anything. I don’t think there’s an answer to what love is and I don’t believe you should be put in a box. We all deserve to just love who we are and who we want with no judgments passed.

Speaking with EWrecently, Conrad, 27, opened up about his upcoming EP, which drops this month.
“I’ve always wanted to go to the extra mile when it comes to performing. Sitting on a stool was never enough for me. I always wanted to jump on the bar and walk around and kick glasses off – just to make a scene. I feel like I have to impress people,” he shared.
Conrad added that he’s still writing tracks for his debut full-length: “I want [fans] to get addicted to it – to crave to hear my voice. It’s rare when I find an artist that I really get addicted to or fall in love with. I want that to happen when they hear me. When I fall in love with an artist, I want to hear them over and over again.”

The 26-year-old British singer headed to Havana to film the video for her sixth single from her debut album, I Cry When I Laugh.
“‘Ain’t Got Far To Go’ is a really special song for me. It was a very defining moment in creating the album, it was the song that made everything make sense and I can’t thank Knox Brown enough for that,” Jess shared in a statement.
She added, “Making this video in Cuba was so fitting, the journey the colors the people everything was so perfect. We met some amazing people who were so grateful, charming and hard-working and that’s what this song is about. Once again Declan and Jolene brought the song to life and I think it’s my favourite video so far in so many ways. I hope you enjoy it!”
