The Flash‘s season four finale delivered some shocking news – that Mystery Girl was really Barry and Iris’s daughter Nora – from the future!

Speaking during a recent appearance, Candice Patton opened up about how Iris could be reacting when season five premieres this fall.

If you remember, the finale left off just after Nora told her parents who she really was and that she had made a big mistake in coming back. This could suggest that there will be major issues ahead.

“I mean, I think anyone in that position would be like ‘What the…?’ You know,” Candice shared at the POPSUGAR Playground festival. “Because it’s weird, her daughter came back from the future, essentially at the same age that [Iris] is currently.”

She adds, “So, it’s super trippy. I think both her and Barry are kinda like ‘What the hell?’”

Candice also teased that because Nora is in their present timeline, it could have big consequences for Iris and Barry.

“That also means that, you know, Iris has to be pregnant at some point. When does that happen? How does this affect the time continuum, if she’s coming back to the past? Could it fudge up whole storylines? Could Barry and I not be together? I have no idea what’ll happen.”

The new series regular on The Flash just recently opened up about her excitement for the forthcoming Arrowverse crossover event.

“I think crossovers are the coolest. The very first episode I did was a crossover and it was awesome and everyone was there and everyone was in a good mood,” Jessica shared. “I feel like it’s so fun to do that.”

If you recall, the crossover for the 2018-2019 season will include Batwoman.

Nora Allen is here to stay for season 5 on The Flash!

Jessica Parker Kennedy has been upped to a series regular for the upcoming season on the long-running series.

Nora, who first appeared at Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris’ (Candice Patton) wedding, was revealed to be their grown-up daughter from the future in the season four finale.

She traveled back to her parents’ time to fix a major — yet mysterious — mistake.

Showrunner Todd Helbing recently shared that the reasons behind her visits would become clearer in season 5.

Jessica joins Hartley Sawyer and Danielle Nicolet in becoming a series regular on the series.

The Flash returns in the fall on The CW.

The identity of Mystery Girl has finally been revealed and if you guessed she was Barry and Iris’s daughter from the beginning, you were…RIGHT!

However, her name isn’t Dawn, like in the comics. It’s Nora West-Allen, and at the end of The Flash‘s season finale, she confesses she made a big mistake.

“Everybody guessed right for the most part,” executive producer Todd Helbing admitted to ComicBook.com after the reveal. “I think I’ve said this at one point that they haven’t totally gotten it yet. It was basically right except for the name. They assumed that it was Dawn.”

As for that “mistake” she talked about, Todd explains that “it’s the time that she comes from and what she did. She makes this sort of big mistake at the end of the episode — you see the concern of what she’s done, and Barry certainly learned his lessons from time travel, so now it’s going to be interesting to put him on the different side of the problem and see how he can help her fix it.”

He adds that all the times she showed up mean something, which we’ll eventually find out about in the upcoming season 5.

“There’s four specific times that she came back, and you’re gonna learn about why she chose those four times and how they’re gonna play into not only the mistake that she made, but the consequences for somebody like her, a speedster traveling from the future to the past, and what that means for Barry and the team.”

TELL JJJ: What did you think of the reveal of Mystery Girl?

The Flash‘s Mystery Girl just revealed her biggest secret of all on last night’s episode – she’s a speedster!

During the episode, during a baby shower for Joe and Cecile’s new baby, Mystery Girl shows up at the door with a gift for them, from “someone who realizes time is precious.”

Then, she seemingly disappears from the doorway and fans see her just around the corner, where she waits a moment before she really vanishes – with a streak of red, yellow, and almost purple lightning following behind her.

While many theories have hinted at Mystery Girl being Barry and Iris’ daughter Dawn, or even their granddaughter, Jenny Ognats – she could well be Joe and Cecile’s daughter as well.

Mystery Girl did mention that their child was arriving in 21 days (aka The Flash finale) – and who else would know that but their actual daughter?

We shall have to wait and see what happens!

We know that Carlos Valdes knows just who Mystery Girl is on The Flash, and it turns out, Grant Gustin does too.

However, Grant has known for much longer than anyone else – since before the season even started!

In a new interview with EW, Grant opens up about the mysterious character, played by Jessica Parker Kennedy, who first pops up at Barry and Iris’ wedding.

“I’ve known since before we started this season,” Grant shared. “It’s been the thing that I’ve been most excited about all season, which sounds ridiculous because it’s really a season 5 thing. I’ve spent all of season 4 being excited about this thing that we’re going to do in season 5!”

He adds that it will “be one of the cooler reveals that we’ve done in a couple seasons” and that he does know “who she is and a little bit about her backstory, and how she’s connected to a handful of characters.”

Okay, Grant. You can spill the secrets now!

“You get the question answered as to who she is,” executive producer Todd Helbing also explains. “There’s actually an extra little bonus where something happens where you’ll realize exactly how she’ll play a part in the future.”
