“I hope this story helps a lot of people out,” she continued. “I’m so insanely proud of myself and how far I’ve come with recovery and my eating disorder. There is a MASSIVE trigger warning, so be careful and use your own discretion.”
She added on Twitter, “The past 4 months I’ve been recovering from anorexia so..a statement I need to make because I have an online presence and have a lot of images of myself on the internet. also, why I really disappeared for a month and yeah.but yay! she’s recovering!”
It turns out Jessie Paege didn’t actually dye her hair purple!
The 19-year-old YouTuber and social media star debuted new lilac locks last month but Jessie just explained that it was actually a wig!
While some fans caught on to her prank, Jessie said that she had really been wanting to go purple but didn’t want to do any more damage to her hair – because she had just dyed it red!
Jessie revealed that under her purple wig was her new bright red, Kim Possible hair!
We think both colors look absolutely amazing and are glad Jessie was able to show that self worth isn’t based on hair color or appearance.
“I decided to do a fun little song parody related to Ariana Grande and her new single that I’m absolutely OBSESSED with right now,” she captioned it. “I included electric guitar tracks and I talk about the 7 THINGS that went wrong this week and um, I guess you can say, WIG hehe.”
“My throat contagious, my bills outrageous,” Jessie sings. “At least I’m trying, at least I’m trying”
She goes on to discuss Uber, Postmates, her bank account, and more.
When asked whether or not she likes the “Delicate” singer, Jessie replied, “I had some kid that was kinda rude to me in school because I wore her concert tee, but I personally adore her!!”
“And might be silly but she’s actually made me feel beautiful with my height,” Jessie added.
Taylor and Jessie are both reportedly around 5’10″!
During the Q&A, Jessie also dished on her favorite Harry Potter characters, upcoming collaborations, and more. See her answers in our gallery below!
In it, she gives a tour of her YouTube-dedicated workspace, her closet, and more.
She also shared some inspirational advice related to her decision to make her apartment rainbow-colored.
“If you’re ever scared to do something, you’ll regret it later if you don’t live your life freely,” Jessie says. “Obviously you wanna be safe, but if you want a rainbow apartment, strive towards it and believe in it.”
“I could have done a very basic plain white wall room, but I was like, you know what, that wouldn’t be Jessie Paege,” she adds. “And some people are gonna think this apartment is weird, and I’m like, it is weird. But I love it!”
“Happiness and your own identity are just so incredibly valid,” she concludes.
