BLACKPINK's Lisa & BTS' V Attend Celine Dinner During Cannes Film Festival 2023

K-pop was out in full force at Celine’s Cannes Film Festival 2023 dinner hosted by Hedi Slimane and held at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc on Monday (May 22) in Antibes, France.

Two of the biggest stars from two of the biggest K-pop groups, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa and BTSV, were among the many in attendance at the event with the fashion brand.

Lisa and V also joined fellow artist Park Bo Gum and Chinese actress Jingyi Zhang for a group photo.

Also in attendance at the dinner were Noah Jupe, Jack Dylan Grazer, Griffin Gluck, Joe Alwyn, Kaia Gerber, Olivia DeJonge, Grace Van Dien, Paul Kircher and Earl Cave among many others.

If you didn’t know, V‘s rumored girlfriend and Lisa‘s group mate, Jennie, is at the Cannes Film Festival as well, where she premiered her upcoming new series The Idol. Check out photos of her here!

BTS' V Shares His Take on 'It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas' Song - Listen Now!

V, one of the seven members of the K-Pop group BTS, is sharing a solo cover of a classic Christmas song!

The 26-year-old singer has shared his cover of “It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,” a tune that was written by The Music Man composer Meredith Willson back in 1951.

The song was originally made famous by singers like Perry Como and Bing Crosby.

Two months ago, we learned some major news about the future of BTS amid the plans for them to enlist in the Korean military. For those who don’t know, all citizens of South Korea are required to serve and the members are all planning to enlist, with Jin being the first.

Big Hit Announces BTS' Plans to Enlist in Military, Will Reconvene as a Group in 2025

The guys of BTS will really be taking a break now.

It was announced on Monday (October 17) that the K-pop group’s members - RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook – are planning to enlist to “fulfill their military service,” with Jin being the first.

Following their concert this past weekend to support Busan’s bid for the World Expo 2030, “and as each individual embarks on solo endeavors, it’s the perfect time and the members of BTS are honored to serve,” a statement read.

Jin is having a blast on his birthday!

The 29-year-old BTS member was surprised with a cake from 102.7 KIIS FM host JoJo Wright at the iHeartRadio 102.7 KIIS FM’s Jingle Ball 2021 presented by Capital One at The Forum in Los Angeles on Friday night (December 3).

He was joined by his fellow band members Jimin, J-Hope, Suga, Jungkook, V and RM at the concert, where they performed their hit single “Butter” and a holiday remix of their song “Dynamite.”

The show also included performances from Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Lil Nas X, The Kid LAROI, Saweetie, Black Eyed Peas, Tate McRae, Bazzi and Dixie D’Amelio.

BTS Members Jimin & V Release Solo Christmas Songs

Jimin and V are celebrating the holiday season with new songs!

The guys from BTS both dropped solo Christmas tunes this week.

On Tuesday (December 23), Jimin released “Christmas Love” on YouTube, while V dropped “Snow Flower” on SoundCloud on Wednesday (December 24).

BTS are set to join other Big Hit label artists, including TXT, GFRIEND, and more, for a big New Year’s Eve concert, which will be held virtually due to COVID restrictions and safety. Get all the info HERE!

The K-pop group is also nominated for multiple 2020 Just Jared Jr Fan AwardsFavorite Music Group/Duo, Favorite Song and Favorite Music Video for “Dynamite” and Favorite Album for Map of the Soul 7.

BTS member V is letting fans know what he’s up to while he’s stuck at home!

The 24-year-old superstar took to the official BTS Twitter account to share a video to show case what he’s been doing to keep busy.

In the vid, V can been seen dancing in his living room in slippers as the TV plays Postmodern Jukebox‘s retro cover of The Chainsmokers and Halsey‘s “Closer.”

“Everyone, when you’re bored, have a conversation with your television. #StayingAtHomeChallenge,” he captioned the video (translation via AllKPop).

As the song plays, he adorably tries to repeat the dance moves and sing along. The video’s already racked up over 9 million views and well over a million “likes” on Twitter alone!
