The 28-year-old actor joined co-star Nicholas Hoult on the red carpet for his first Oscars ever.
Both Joe and Nicholas star in The Favourite, which is just one of the many nominees for Best Picture.
There will be no host this year at the Oscars, marking the first time since 1989 that the show will be host-less. Make sure to tune in on ABC at 8pm EST/5pm PST.

“AHHHHH @thefavouritemovie just won 7 @bafta awards !!! Bout to go give some high fives – thanks @stellamccartney for this dressss,” Taylor posted on her Instagram to congratulate her boyfriend and the cast of his film. Joe co-stars in the movie with Emma Stone and more amazing actresses!

It was a big night at the BAFTAs for actor Joe Alwyn and his movie The Favourite!
The movie was the big winner of the night, taking home seven awards at the 2019 EE British Academy Film Awards on Sunday (February 10) at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.
The Favourite won Outstanding British Film, two acting awards for Olivia Colman and Rachel Weisz, and a bunch of design awards.
Even though Joe‘s girlfriend Taylor Swift is in town, she stayed home and he went solo at the show.

Taylor made a surprise appearance at the show earlier, supporting Joe, whose film The Favourite received a nomination for Best Musical or Comedy.

While neither Joe or Nicholas are individually up for awards tonight, Olivia is up for Best Actress in a Musical/Comedy Motion Picture, with Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz nominated for Best Supporting Actresses.
The Favourite is also up for Best Musical/Comedy Motion Picture.
The Golden Globes will kick off at 8:00pm EST/5pm PST on NBC. Make sure to tune in to see who wins all the awards!
