Johnny Orlando‘s new song and music video “Everybody Wants You” is out now!
The 17-year-old even gets animated in parts of the visual.
“I know my fans have been eagerly anticipating new music, so I am so excited to finally share ‘Everybody Wants You’ with the world,” Johnny said in a statement.
“I feel like I have finally found myself artistically in terms of the direction I want to go sonically, and what I want my music to represent,” he added.
Just hours before the new song came out, Johnny shared a few photos on Instagram from his first day of his last year of high school.
“first day of senior year:) new single drops at midnight ! #EverybodyWantsYou,” he captioned his post.
The 17-year-old teamed up with New Hope Club for a virtual cover of Harry Styles‘ hit song “Watermelon Sugar“.
“the live sessions (from home) are back baby!! watermelon sugar with @newhopeclub is live on youtube<3," Johnny captioned a clip on Instagram.

In case you missed it, last week Johnnyteased a brand new song in another YouTube video. He then shared a sneak peek clip from his upcoming song and video, “Everybody Wants You,” which he said is coming soon.

Johnny Orlando & New Hope Club – ‘Watermelon Sugar’
The 17-year-old uploaded a new YouTube video where he drove around with his sisters, and went to surprise a fan for her birthday.
While visiting with the fans, one of them asked if he was releasing a new music video soon, and he said he was, then asked if they wanted to her the new song.
“I’m trying to fake it, and then she walked in, every drink is bought for you,” he sings in the little snippet. Check it out the 2:15 min mark in the video!
The day after his YouTube video was released, Johnny shared a photo on Twitter, showing that his song’s Spotify release is confirmed. No date was given.

The 17-year-old musician has signed a massive talent and consumer products partnership with the brand.
Johnny and MTV will work together to develop multiplatform initiatives that span across consumer products, music and live events. They are also currently working on a comprehensive strategy for the talented artist, which includes musical performances on-air and across digital platforms as well as appearances in MTV programming and tent pole events.
There are currently plans in the works for “an exclusive line of cross-category consumer products with merchandise that will range from fashion and accessories, to publishing, social expressions, home decor, and much more. Products will be developed in collaboration with Orlando and will reflect his personal style, interests and passions.”

Johnny Orlando is speaking out about his privilege and how he can help.
The 17-year-old singer and YouTuber shared a message about the Black Lives Matter movement, and how he doesn’t want artists and influencers to waste their platform by not speaking up.
“i am privileged. i will never understand the struggles that so many people in the world face on an everyday basis simply because of the colour of their skin, but i am trying to. i am lucky to have a platform. i have always tried to spread positivity & keep things light on here but that is simply not enough,” Johnny wrote on Instagram. “by ignoring these issues or staying silent, you are contributing to the issue that is so prevalent in our world. when i first saw the video of george floyd i was appalled. it made me sick, and then it made me angry. growing up in canada where i did, this is not something i have ever witnessed first hand. for that i am privileged, and i wish i had acknowledged that within myself sooner.”
“i have taken these last few days to educate myself, listen to others, sign any petition i see, and donate. i want to be part of the solution, not the problem. in order to move forward we must stand together,” he continued. “our generation needs to be vocal & be the change we wish to see in the world. to my fellow artists / influencers, a platform is a horrible thing to waste & if you are not speaking up right now you don’t deserve to have one.”

“The song basically breaks down the whole process of spending everyday with someone, growing apart and moving on, and then somehow being brought back together,” Johnny toldBillboardabout the track. “We definitely didn’t plan to release this song while physically distancing, but it has kind of given the song a double meaning. Like everyone, I really miss my friends and just being able to see people in person every day.”
“Throughout this time I’ve really been utilizing social media and video calling to connect with my friends and fans…the whole premise of the video is basically just me spending a day in quarantine, trying to connect with my friends because I just want to see them!” he added.
The hidden camera show features celebrities who are transformed by a team of special effects artists to go undercover as substitute teachers, surprising classes of unsuspecting students.
