Reports surfaced this week that the upcoming two-part Wicked movie adaptation had completed filming.
That news came just days after it was reported that production had halted due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, and just after it was revealed that leading lady Ariana Grande and her husband Dalton Gomez were separating.
One site reported that Ariana has completed all of her scenes and is heading back to the US this week.
However, director Jon M Chu took to social media to confirm that the movie has not yet completed filming and they still have a few days left!

The long-awaited, many years in the making Wicked movie adaptation is finally well underway!
Jon M Chu is directing the two-part film adaptation of the mega popular Broadway musical, with Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo playing the leads Glinda and Elphaba.
When it was announced that the movie was going to be split into two parts, they were given Christmas 2024 and Christmas 2025 release dates, but both of those have now been changed.

Anticipated fans were treated to a photo of each in character, though neither were a close look, offering just a little tease of what they will look like.
However, the photos that were released were dark, and many criticized the dark shading of the pics, something that has been a hot topic on social media for other films as well.

The two star as Glinda and Elphaba in the long-awaited film adaptation, and it was just announced this week that Jonathan Bailey has been cast as both of their love interest, Fiyero.
After it was reported he was in talks for the role, director Jon M Chu then confirmed it’s true.
“He’s perfect, they’re perfect. They’d be perfect together. Born to be forever….. I am too excited to pretend this hasn’t been happening. We have a Fiyero!!!! #JonathanBailey #Wicked,” he wrote on Twitter, quoting Fiyero’s song “Dancing Through Life.”
