Julia Michaels just debuted her official music video for “If You Need Me”, which is inspired by Facebook Watch’s original series Sorry For Your Loss.
In the video, Julia personally meets and learns from six members of the official Facebook Group, who have formed an emotional bond from their own shared experience with grief.
The group has evolved into a place where a community gathers to share their stories, support one another and build connections, all as a direct result of these conversations.
“When I first met Carol [one of the group members], she said those women were a tribe. There are many people out there who are willing to love you, and willing to listen – you just have to find the right people who will do that,” Julia recalls. “When I read all the comments around Sorry For Your Loss, about everybody being there for each other, I sort of wanted to write [the song] from that angle. I think that’s one of the best parts about songwriting, that I can channel someone’s feelings and put them into a song.”
You can pick up Julia‘s “If You Need Me” on iTunes now!
Sorry For Your Loss season two premieres on Tuesday, October 1st @ 12pmPT/3pmET with three episodes, on Facebook Watch.
Julia Michaels has just dropped the official music video for her latest single “17,” and you can watch it right here!
The song is the latest track to get the video treatment from the 25-year-old Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter’s EP Inner Monologue Part 2, which was released back in June.

Julia Michaels is sending a message of positivity in the official music video for her latest single “Body“!
The 25-year-old Grammy nominated singer recently opened up about the inspiration behind the song, off of her Inner Monologue Part 2 EP, and her own experiences with learning to love herself.
“I think everybody has insecurities about their body. I’ll be getting ready and I’ll wear something and nothing feels right, and then I end up not going because I’m so self-conscious,” Julia told Teen Vogue in an as-told-to essay.
“I wanted to write a song about my insecurities because I can’t be the only one who feels this way. I got in the studio to work on ‘Body,’ and I just started thinking about those moments,” Julia explained. “I sang, ‘I’m sorry I’m a b*tch to you,’ which is now the first line of the song addressing the negative internal dialogue I have with myself in those moments. Nobody really talks about that intense toxic relationship with yourself. They talk about toxic relationships you have with other people; in movies and music videos and songs, you see people fighting, you’re throwing glasses at each other and all of this stuff. But I think the relationship you have with yourself can be the most toxic.”
“Surprisingly, I’m the most comfortable in my body when I’m performing, which is so funny because I used to have such awful anxiety and such horrible stage fright,” Julia Michaels continued. “Now I can be onstage and sing with a bunch of people and feel absolutely myself, which is really special.”
The 25-year-old singer-songwriter and the 25-year-old “Issues” pop singer-songwriter performed together on The Late Late Show With James Corden on Monday evening (February 18).
“What a Time” is featured on Julia‘s latest EP, Inner Monologue – Part 1, which was released at the end of January.
“That was a special day . Thank you @latelateshow @JKCorden @benwinston for having us , it was a right laugh. Thank you @juliamichaels for wanting me to be a part of this beautiful song . Xx,” Niall wrote on his Twitter after the performance.
