The 16-year-old Miss Teen USA 2015 crowned the new queen along with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss USA 2016 Deshauna Barber.

After the competition was over, Katherine posted a sweet goodbye message on her personal Instagram.

“Anddddd just like that, I’m a now a former Miss Teen USA!” she wrote. “A huge congrats to @karlie_hay for capturing the title!”

Katherine added, “My year was indescribable! I made so many memories that will last a lifetime and grew so much as a person! Now… I’m ready to conquer the next chapter of my life! Stay tuned to see what’s next, it’s exciting.”

Miss Teen USA 2015 Katherine Haik gets a hug from Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan on the press line at the 2016 Miss Teen USA Pageant at The Venetian Las Vegas on Saturday night (July 30) in Las Vegas.

The 16-year-old reigning queen met up with Olivia, who is hosting the event with Cody Johns, as well as Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach and Miss USA 2016 Deshauna Barber, and singer Nick Fradiani.

“At the beginning of my year, I decided to devote my year to working with children and adults with special needs! Throughout this year I’ve gotten to work with the most amazing organizations & do the most heart warming events!” Katherine wrote ahead of the festivities this weekend.

She added, “This picture is from the Night to Shine Prom which is an event that gives special needs children a wonderful prom experience! I have also gotten to work with Best Buddies, Arc Gateway, and the Special Olympics during my year! I hope I impacted the lives of the people that I have met at these events as much as they have impacted my life.”

The 16-year-old reigning Miss Teen USA 2015 was welcomed by the 2016 competitors from the 50 states and District of Colombia before they modeled their gorgeous evening looks and athleisure wear for the competition.

Katherine Haik leads the Miss Teen USA 2016 contestants during rehearsals held at The Palazzo inside The Venetian on Thursday (July 26) in Las Vegas.

Later on, the 16-year-old reigning Miss Teen USA 2015 and all the competitors helped put together backpacks for the The Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth.

Katherine also met up with WWE Superstar Eva Marie for a fun workout.

Miss Teen USA 2016 Katherine Haik and a group of Miss Teen USA 2017 contestants show off their new athleisure wear during a trip to Red Rock Canyon on Tuesday (July 26) in Nevada.

Katherine, 16, joined Marley Stokes (Miss South Carolina Teen); Erin Snow (Miss Alabama Teen); Gracyn Blackmore (Miss Virginia Teen); Hellen Smith (Miss Oklahoma Teen); Bentley Wright (Miss Georgia Teen); Ellie Picone (Miss Louisiana Teen); Carissa Morrow (Miss Nevada Teen) ; Christiaan Prince (Miss Kentucky Teen); and Savannah Chrisley (Miss Tennessee Teen), who were the first contestants to arrive ahead of the competition this coming weekend.

This year, the contestants will not wear swimsuits during the competition, but instead model athleisure gear — the same gear they’re wearing in these photos!

Katherine Haik only has a few days left as Miss Teen USA.

The 16-yer-old reigning queen, who is the youngest contestant ever to win the title, headed to Miss Teen USA’s Official Facebook to reveal the top 5 most important things she’s learned over the year and to reminisce a bit about saying goodbye to the job.

“?#?throwback? to my first day on the job! I woke up that morning feeling so many emotions… overwhelmed, nervous, scared, and even more excited! I packed my bags the night I won and headed straight to New York to start my media tour!” Katherine wrote. “This year has been the craziest, busiest, and best year of my life. I am definitely going to miss the job of being Miss Teen USA but I cannot wait to see who gets to live this dream next!”

The 2016 Miss Teen USA competition will take place on Sunday, July 31st at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.
