Katie Stevens is reminding her fans that every bit of them is amazing in her latest Instagram.

After posting a pic of herself in her workout clothes, the Bold Type actress opened up about her own body insecurities and how she tackles her own thought shaming daily, and self love.

“Okay. Real talk. Ive never felt confident posting a photo in my workout clothes, much less a bathing suit. But that’s because I’ve never felt 100% confident in my skin,” Katie confessed. “When I was younger, I was ‘athletic’ but even then I had an unhealthy obsession with what it meant to be fit. I didn’t even have social media back then (cause instagram/twitter didn’t exist *shock*) but I cant imagine what it would’ve done to my already fragile mental state.”

She continues, “I didn’t have the image of picture perfect instagrammers staring back at me, but I already wanted to be like anybody but myself. I’ve never had an eating disorder, but not being able to look in the mirror and see what others saw in me, might as well have been one.”

“*fast forward to now* I’m proud of myself. And I love who I am. I finally, within the last year or so, feel like i’m developing a better relationship with my body, with food, with my thoughts, and in turn, with the people around me. I workout because it makes me feel good, I eat good food without punishing myself, and I allow thoughts to come and go as they please but I don’t carry them through my day like heavy anchors.”

“I look in the mirror and remind myself that I’m enough. I get reminded every day from my friends, and people who follow me that they think i’m special, and that’s pretty freaking cool. So i’ve started carrying THAT with me like an anchor, to ground me and make me feel strong,” Katie adds. “I see and feel myself changing. The physical changes are more visible, but the mental changes are more powerful.”

“Self love is a journey, and no one ever has it figured out. Remember that! You’re not alone! Hope you all have a great week 😘 You’re all enough exactly as you are, just look in the mirror and remind yourself.”

The Bold Type cast is kicking off filming for season four!

Katie Stevens made the announcement on Twitter on Saturday (July 27).

“First day of filming Season 4 tomorrow!!!!!!! #TheBoldType,” she wrote.

“Back in 🇨🇦 and back to work on #TheBoldType 🥳,” Katie also shared on Instagram earlier this week, adding, “How I feel about being back to work on @theboldtypetv ✨ #TheBoldType” with the photo below on Friday.

“Prayers up for a musical episode in season 4, it’s what we all deserve,” Aisha Dee has said, while Meghann Fahy chimed in, “Season 4 I wanna see some bottomless mimosa brunching HBU?”

The Bold Type returns to Freeform in 2020.

The Bold Type co-stars and real life bff’s were joined by Charmed and Descendants 3 actress Sarah Jeffery.

“Life goal: be a @disney princess. Last night: felt like one,” Katie wrote on Instagram the next day.

There’s no doubt that The Bold Type ladies have crazy good chemistry, and it’s been that way since they first met!

The stars – Aisha Dee, Katie Stevens, and Meghann Fahy – knew right from the start they would be best friends on and off screen.

“I first met Meghann at the last audition I had for The Bold Type,” Aisha told ET. “And I knew straight away that I loved her so much.”

“I asked the executive producer if I could have their contacts and when he was taking too long I actually found them on social media and reached out to them,” Katie said of taking initiative.

“She reached out to me and was like, ‘I’m so excited to work together. Do you want to come to New York? My boyfriend’s playing a show,’” Aisha added.

“I just remember being in Katie‘s hotel room with her before Aisha got there and we were just getting ready and peeing in front of each other like we had been best friends already for years,” Meghann said.

“And right away we did that crazy, basic girl dance where we all kinda jumped around in the elevator,” Aisha added of what happened after she got there. “It’s crazy. That first night it felt like we had known each other for ever.”

Katie Stevens first learned about her fiance Paul DiGiovanni when she was 14 years old!

The Bold Type star flashed a grin while visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (April 16) in Hollywood.

Freeform just dropped brand new promo pics of the ladies for the new season, along with Melora Hardin, Sam Page, Stephen Conrad Moore and Matt Ward.

Just recently, Katie opened up about tonight’s new episode where Jane begins the process of freezing her eggs and it’s something she isn’t wanting to really share with boyfriend, Ryan (Dan Jeannotte).

“I think that it’s really hard for Jane just because she had just gone through the situation with Ben where she let him in on her medical stuff, and it made everything weird and kind of ruined it,” she shared.

She continues, “I think that it’s easy to kind of be like, ‘Well, we’re having too much fun, and the serious stuff is going to ruin it, so let’s forget about the serious stuff. We don’t need to talk about it. I can handle it on my own. It’s an important lesson that if there are people in your life…reaching out to you when you need help, to accept that help, and to know that you don’t have to go through things alone. So I think that that’s the lesson that Jane is learning through this experience.”
