Kenny Ortega Sends Love To Cast & Fans After 'Descendants 3' Officially Wraps

It’s officially official – Descendants 3 is wrapped!

Director Kenny Ortega was the first to break the news to fans on his Instagram, sharing a few images from the set and a few lovely messages to go along with it.

“DESCENDANTS 3 It’s A Wrap! We wrapped it all up at 6:00 AM this morning in #LynnCanyon. A grateful heart full of thanks to the #disneychannel and my Cast and Crew. It has been the greatest gift working in partnership with you all!” he wrote, with a pic of him at the location.

He added another message later with one of the final images of the core four – Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce and Booboo Stewart.

“You better believe there is a lot of love underneath all that rotten! It’s a wrap on Descendants 3! The Descenders and Fans have been in our hearts and thoughts throughout these months of development, rehearsals and filming. We truly hope we’ve served your expectations!”

Kenny Ortega Keeps The Yawn Jar Going on 'Descendants 3'

The Yawn Jar is still going strong!

Director Kenny Ortega has brought the famed jar back for Descendants 3, as the movie starts filming in Vancouver.

If you don’t know, Kenny came up with The Yawn Jar when first filming High School Musical, and whoever – cast or crew – yawned, they had to give a dollar. At the end of filming, all the money goes to Make-A-Wish.

“13 years ago, while filming High School Musical, I started a Yawn Jar. For every yawn I caught from my Cast & Crew I collected a dollar for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and at the end of production I would match the pot,” Kenny shared on his Instagram over the weekend.

“We would then present the collection to the foundation. Disney has sponsored so many Make-A-Wish children on my sets over the last nine movies,” he adds. “I’m thrilled that the tradition has continued on into Descendants 3. Thanks to my loving Cast & Crew for their yawns!”

Love that this tradition is going strong!

'High School Musical' Stars Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel Would Be Up For THAT Movie Reunion

'High School Musical' Stars Monique Coleman and Lucas Grabeel Would Be Up For THAT Movie Reunion

Last month, the internet lost it when a fan-made High School Musical trailer made its way online again.

The visual saw the core six Wildcats reunite in many different ways and had us all screaming at our screens and shooting off emails to Disney to make THIS movie asap — and it looks like at least three of the stars of the first three movies would be up for it.

KayCee Stroh was one of the first to share the trailer on Twitter, so she’s in.

And so is Lucas Grabeel: “Yeah, I saw it. Kenny Ortega tweeted it and I watched it. It’s great,” he told J-14.

Lucas added, “Yeah, of course. If Disney calls, my door is always open. We work well together.”

Monique Coleman, aka Taylor McKessie, would be in too.

“Honestly, I would do that movie!” she shared with AfterBuzz in a recent interview.

We all know that director Kenny Ortega is in, too. He did say he’d return to direct if Disney offered.

So, for that movie, would Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, and Zac Efron be in too?

Sofia Carson, Booboo Stewart & Thomas Doherty Take Over London For 'Descendants 2' Promo

Like us all, Sofia Carson and Thomas Doherty have no clue what Booboo Stewart is actually doing here.

The three Descendants 2 stars are kicking off international promo for their flick alongside director Kenny Ortega and are starting in London.

Sofia shared a handful of photos of the quartets adventure on her Instagram Stories, and fans (including us) have been capturing them.

If you remember, Sofia and Booboo also did promo together in London for the original Descendants movie back in 2015.

Kenny Ortega Would 100% Return To Direct 'High School Musical 4'

Kenny Ortega Would 100% Return To Direct 'High School Musical 4'

We’ve talked about this before — High School Musical wouldn’t be anything if not for Kenny Ortega, and our #1 wish is for him to direct the much-talked about fourth movie in the franchise.

And guess what? He’s up for it!

“I would like to. I would like to be a part of it in any way that I can,” Kenny shared with People’s Choice. “I had the time of my life it started a whole new career for me.”

“If High School Musical 4 worked out with my schedule and Gary [Marsh] and the team request my involvement, I would be very, very open to it.”

BREAK OUT THAT HAPPY DANCE NOW!

Kenny also talked about just how much HSM meant to him, and kicked off this brand new career, which ultimately led him to Descendants.

“I’ve said this so many times, but I’m walking in my dreams,” he says. “I’m doing exactly what I’ve wanted to do, all my life. The last decade plus has been extraordinary and that I get to play with music and dance-driven storytelling, the Disney Channel has offered me a voice and an opportunity that is rare today.”

MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
