A new year, and a new season of Kids Baking Championship are here!

Season eight brings a handful of brand new, young and talented chefs to the kitchen all competing for the chance to win $25,000, plus a feature in Food Network Magazine.

The bakers this season are: Liam Bizjack (El Dorado Hills, CA; age 12), Morgan Chaffin (Glen Burnie, MD; age 11), Anthony Fontanez (Belmar, NJ; age 12), Sahana Gade (Sugar Land, TX; age 10), Phoebe Gore (New York, NY; age 11), Sam Occhiogrosso (West Hartford, CT; age 11), Graysen Pinder (Wilmington, NC; age 13), Elise Sammis (Chapin, SC; age 11), Saleem Sandhu (Yuba City, CA; age 12), Avner Schwartz (Haverford, PA; age 12), Reggie Strom (Bend, OR; age 12), and Naima Winston (Baltimore, MD; age 11).

On the premiere, hosts Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli take the bakers back to the groovy 1970s to test their cake decorating abilities by challenging them to create shag texture cakes.

Each baker will select a cake flavor that they must bake from scratch before they can begin designing and decorating. The baker that crumbles under the pressure will be eliminated.

Kids Baking Championship season eight premieres TONIGHT, Monday, January 6th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network.

The semi-finals just ended on Kids Baking Championship season 6 and three bakers are headed to the finals.

For the challenge, the bakers – Davis, Jaxon, Meadow and Paige – were tasked with baking up the perfect sugar cookie puzzle.

Jaxon was given raspberry, Davis got lemon, Meadow received spice, and Paige went for butterscotch.

Davis even made a Mona Lisa cookie puzzle and it was amazing!

It’s the semi-finals on Kids Baking Championship season 6!

Four bakers are going to be narrowed down to three after tonight’s episode for next week’s finals.

The competition will see young bakers Paige, Davis, Meadow and Jaxon take on their most challenging bake yet – making a sugar cookie puzzle!

All four bakers are tasked with making a cool cookie puzzle in fun, assigned flavors.

Food Networks’ Kids Baking Championship season six returns tonight with twelve (12) all-new bakers all vying for the title of champion, plus $25,000, and a feature in Food Network Magazine.

All the bakers range in ages from nine (9) to thirteen (13) and will be tested in difficult dessert challenges.

Judged and hosted by chef Duff Goldman and Valerie Bertinelli, the bakers will make an array of sugar cookies, macaron, brownies, blondies and mini cheesecakes. Yum!

The bakers this season are: Jenna Alnatur (Clifton, NJ; age 9), Gavin Crawford (Pearland, TX; age 11), Paige Goehner (Blaine, MN; age 11), Misha Jones (Annapolis, MD; age 12), Brooklyn Kyzar (Silverhill, AL; age 12), Kasey Moeggenborg (Rockford, MI; age 13), Jaxon Remillard (Mansfield, TX; age 11), Meadow Roberts (Minneapolis, MN; age 10), Nyah Rosado (New Rochelle, NY; age 11), Davis Sams (Vancouver, BC; age 13), Madison Totaro (Austin, TX: age 11), and Karthik Vemparala (Somerset, NJ; age 11).

In tonight’s premiere, the bakers must serve cupcakes featuring Duff’s favorite ingredient – bacon. But that’s not all, each baker must also include an assigned ingredient like maple, chocolate, peanut, caramel, cinnamon, ginger, or cherry.

Just when they get baking, Valerie throws the bakers a curveball and adds another one of her favorite ingredients into the mix – marzipan.
