Kiki Nyemcheck and Koine Iwasaki pose backstage at Hits Live 97.3 radio on Thursday afternoon (November 2) in Hollywood, Fla.
The two So You Think You Can Dance alums are currently on tour with the show and showed off some of their dance moves for a small audience to promote the tour.
Kiki recently admitted that it was never his intention to audition for the show at all this past season.
“I had zero interest in auditioning for the show,” he revealed.
However, he was persuaded to grab a number after accompanying his dance partner of nine years, Magda Fialek, for her own audition.
Kikiadded that he “wanted to be 100 percent ready to go and prepared in other genres before I auditioned.”
Which is understandable, but he doesn’t regret anything about his time on the show.
“It was a very interesting journey, definitely something I will never forget,” Kiki says. “I met some amazing dancers and choreographers. It was a pleasure to be a part of it.”
Lex Ishimoto and Koine Iwasaki pull out their best dance moves for the photo booth after appearing on Build Series in New York City on Monday (October 16).
The two — who placed 1st and 2nd on So You Think You Can Dance season 14 — opened up about auditions, the run of show, and more.
Koine even shouts out Val Chmerkovskiy about teaching her how to salsa in under an hour, saying he was one of her favorite choreographers on the show.
Lex added that when he’s dancing with Koine, especially with the Broadway pizza delivery guy number, that “all I have to do is basically support her.”
He continues, “It’s really easy [with her]. She’s an amazing partner.”
The two dancers, who are in the Top 4 with Kiki Nyemchek and Koine Iwasaki, performed a sweet number choreographed by Mia Michaels and showed off their love.
Some fans who watched the performance were surprised that Taylor and Lex actually kissed during their performance, and were even more surprised that they’ve been a couple for a while!
“I’m still out here fangirling over Lex and Taylor #SYTYCD,” one fan wrote.
Another adds, “I’m literally crying watching Lex and Taylor and knowing that they are in love.”
“Is this real life??? Wait WHAT???” Kiki posted on Instagram after the show last night. “I can’t believe that I made the TOP 4 of SYTYCD!! There was ABSOLUTELY no freaking way I could have done this without all of your support.”
Taylor adds, “Wow, I truly can’t believe it. TOP 4?! I feel so incredibly thankful to be here with these amazing dancers and people.”
“My heart is so full. With these 3 loves. Top 4 on SYTYCD… What a dream. ?? THANK YOU,” Koine wrote on Twitter, with a group pic.
