Meaghan Martin keeps it cute and simple as she arrives at Lollipop Theater Network’s second annual “Game Day” at the Nickelodeon Animation Studios in Burbank, Calif., on Sunday afternoon (May 2).
Although the 18-year-old actress won’t be working on 10 Things I Hate About You anymore, she did tell us what she will be doing — taking college courses!
Meaghan shared, “I do have some time now to take some college courses, so I’m excited about that.”
JJJ even brought up the fact that she didn’t have to go back to blonde, but Meaghan dished, “I actually do have to go back to blonde for another role I have coming up. But after that, it’s back to brunette.”

Meaghan Martin and KSM buddy up at the launch of the new children’s book “My Brother Charlie” held at Culver Studios in Culver City, Calif., on Sunday afternoon (April 11).
“My Brother Charlie” was written by Holly Robinson Peete and her daughter Ryan. It tells the story of twins Callie and Charlie who have a lot in common, but they are also very different: Charlie has autism. Callie narrates the story, describing what autism is and exploring the issues that come along with it. The theme is of love, patience, and acceptance.
Meaghan is particularly close to autism, as her own brother, Zach, has a form called Asperger’s. She told JJJ recently about her partnership with DoSomething.org, “I had that meeting in New York a couple months ago and we all literally, sat in that meeting and cried. I was telling them everything and they were crying, I was crying…there has been such an incredible response to the video and PSA. I have people messaging me on Twitter. It’s so wonderful. I’m doing a walk for autism in Vegas soon and I plan to go around to high schools and talk about living with autism or Asperger’s…any mental disability.”
