Grace VanderWaal hams it up with Kurt Hugo Schneider while arriving at the Astronauts Wanted 2017 New Front Presentation in New York City earlier this week.

Grace, who won the most recent season of America’s Got Talent admitted on social media that she once wanted to audition for American Idol.

The show, which is trying to make a comeback on ABC, has an age specification, where all contestants have to be above 15 years old. Grace was only 12 when she won AGT.

We’re pretty sure that winning AGT the best though — we mean, record deal, EP, a treehouse AND, don’t forget about that RDMA win.
