Laura Marano is SO ready for an Austin & Ally reboot!
The Perfect Date actress played Ally Dawson on the series – alongside Ross Lynch‘s Austin Moon – for four seasons from 2011-2016.
“100 percent, in like a second,” Laura told J-14 when asked if she’d be down to reprise her role. “It was one of the best experiences in my life. I love the cast and crew so much. Yes, yes, yes.”
“In my head, we would be in some sort of amazing, foreign country,” Laura added. “I feel like we can’t do Italy because Lizzie McGuire already did that, but let’s go to England! Or let’s go to Hawaii — that’s not a foreign country but that’s a very beauty, tropical place. I feel like it would be visually stunning and it would be so fun to hang out with Calum [Worthy], Raini [Rodriguez] and Ross in a vacation spot.”

The 24-year-old actress and singer joined stars Elle Fanning, Justice Smith, Virginia Gardner, Sofia Hasmik, and Felix Mallard on the red carpet.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina‘s Jaz Sinclair, Looking For Alaska‘s Denny Love, Anne Winters, and Auli’i Cravalho were also spotted inside the event.
All The Bright Places, which “provides a refreshing and human take on the experience of mental illness, its impact on relationships, as well as the beauty and lasting impact of young love”, premieres on Friday, February 28.

Laura recently came across a tweet that went viral, calling some Disney Channel characters homophobic, including her own Austin & Ally character Ally.
She retweeted the post and gave her reasoning as to why Ally is NOT a homophobe.
“Ummmm no, no, no!!!!! Ally is definitely an ally!!!! It’s literally in her name!!!! Also, she had to be an ally because Austin and Dez definitely had a romantic relationship….” she wrote.
We’re so glad to hear that Laura Marano and Ross Lynch still stay in touch!
The former Austin & Ally co-stars actually saw each other pretty recently, at another actress’ birthday party!

“I saw Ross pretty recently, it was at Kiernan [Shipka]‘s birthday party,” Laura told J-14.
She added, “I’ve seen [the whole cast of Austin & Ally] individually, but I haven’t seen everyone all together in a while. We’ve been trying so, so hard to reunite but it’s tough with everyone’s schedules.”
Austin & Ally went off the air in 2016 so to say we’re dying for a reunion is an understatement!

Laura Marano needs help!
The 24-year-old actress and singer took to Instagram to ask her fans for some creative assistance for a secret project.
“Oh hey, you. Yeah, you. I want you to help me with a little surprise project,” she wrote. “Some of you guys are so creative and really insanely talented at drawing/painting, so I thought it would be cool if you helped me design something 😏”
“I don’t want to give too many details, but I want you to show off your creativity and talent,” Laura added. “Basically, the only criteria is including the word “YOU.” You can write it out, you can type it, you can design over it (in fact, please design and get creative!). As you can see, I’m not very gifted when it comes to writing/designing 😭🤓 you can post it online, but more importantly, send it to [email protected] and make sure you submit it before 12 am PST on February 25th!”
The day before, Laura celebrated the anniversary of her song “F.E.O.U.” and teased that she’ll be going on tour this year. Seems like this secret project could be tour related, possibly. Or a new music video??

“I can’t believe it’s been a year since I performed at the Roxy aaaaand since F.E.O.U. came out 💋,” she wrote. “I honestly can’t put into words how incredible that day was, but I can say I can’t wait to perform way more this year…like I miiiiight just be planning something right now…”
She added, “Completely unrelated, hypothetical question: if I were to go on tour, what cities should I go to?”
