In the issue, Lil Nas X opened up about his latest hit song “Montero (Call Me By Your Name),” and how he was scared of alienating some of his fanbase at first, as the song has references to gay sex.
“At first I was really afraid of alienating any of my straight fans,” he told the mag. “But then it was kind of like, if they feel offended, they were never really here for me. They were here for whatever version of myself they made up in their head.”

Country duo Maddie & Tae released their new, upbeat song “Woman You Got.”

AJR debuted their new album OK Orchestra, and Justin Bieber released the “Triple Chucks Deluxe” version of his Justice album, which features new songs with Jaden Smith, Tori Kelly, DaBaby, Quavo and more.

Miley has been friends with Lil Nas X ever since he collaborated with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus on the song “Old Town Road,” which won them both their first Grammy Awards.
The 21-year-old Grammy winner recently shared that the pandemic halted plans to work with the 28-year-old singer.
When asked about having thought of collaborating with Miley, Nas told Andy Cohen, “Yeah, 100. I had plans to work on this one song with Miley earlier last year, and then the pandemic happened. So we didn’t get to like meet up or anything, but, you know, maybe it’ll happen now.”
Lil Nas X and Miley have been close friends for a while after he worked on “Old Town Road” with her dad Billy Ray.
The pair did recently work together on the Amazon Music “Holiday Plays,” where they both performed, and he even did a Q&A with her.
