The 21-year-old rapper shared late Monday night (June 1) that he didn’t think that it was the best idea during this time.
“i know y’all mean well but… bro saying stop posting for a day is the worst idea ever,” he started out on Twitter. “i just really think this is the time to push as hard as ever. i don’t think the movement has ever been this powerful. we don’t need to slow it down by posting nothing. we need to spread info and be as loud as ever.”
“not tryna be announcing but what if we posted donation and petitions links on instagram all at the same time instead of pitch black images,” he said.

The 20-year-old “Panini” rapper recently shared that he didn’t plan to ever come out as gay.
“The honest truth is, I planned to die with the secret,” he told The Guardian. “But that changed when I became Lil Nas X.”
“I 100 percent want to represent the LGBT community,” he continued. “I don’t want to encourage them to do something they don’t 100 percent want to do. Especially in, like, middle school or high school. Because it’s just super-hard.”
“It’s easier for me,” he added. “I’m not depending on anybody. There’s no one who’s going to kick me out of the house—nobody to start treating me s–tty.”
“My family knows now,” he shared, revealing that he doesn’t speak to his mother. “But it’s not something that’s ever brought up or we speak about. We’re quiet on it. Nobody’s like, ‘Oh, you got a boyfriend?’”
“I don’t want [my love life] to be something we never talk about,” he said. “Because what about the kids in my family? I would like it to be a healthy medium between, ‘Who are you f–king?’ and just not saying anything.”

“I thought it would be its own moment for hip-hop,” Lil Nas has told Billboard about the remix. “Just to have that whole [idea] of ‘Nas doesn’t like Lil Nas‘ perish. It was dope of him to hop on the song. The best advice he told me was to ‘Keep your foot on their necks.’”
