In the upcoming episode “Starry Night,” tensions are high between Daphne (Leclerc) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) as they clash over Emmett (Sean Berdy).
Upset over her father’s return, Daphne heads to the music festival where Toby (Lucas Grabeel), Wilke (Butler) and Emmett are performing, to try and get some alone time with Emmett, much to his surprise.
Bay insists on seeing Angelo (Gilles Marini) again, so John (D.W. Moffett) asks Regina (Constance Marie) to chaperone their meeting, causing them all to think about what life would have been like.

Vanessa Marano goes sheer as she arrives at the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday (August 7) at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif.
The 18-year-old actress, who headed on over to the Disney ABC Television Group’s Summer Press TCA Tour Party afterwards, wore a gorgeous Eva Culture Couture dress with Jimmy Choo heels. Vanessa completed her look with Erica Courtney jewels.
Switched at Birth costars Lucas Grabeel and Sean Berdy also joined Vanessa at the Teen Choice Awards.
“Justin Bieber bumped into me on the red carpet. #neverwashmyshoulderagain,” Lucas jokingly tweeted.
Lucas played Just Dance 3 and danced to “Party Rock Anthem” by LMFAO at the Backstage Creations Celebrity Retreat!

Vanessa Marano and Gilles Marini post for a behind-the-scenes pic for the season finale of Switched at Birth.
In TONIGHT’s episode “The Homecoming,” Bay’s (Marano) biological father, Angelo (Gilles Marini), shows up at her school art show, causing Bay much stress. Not sure how to react, she decides she does not want anything to do with him, until the curiosity is too much to bear.
After a brief encounter, Bay introduces Angelo to the Kennishes and Daphne (Katie Leclerc), who has no memory of the man who walked out on her.
Unable to figure out why he is here, Regina (Constance Marie) assures the Kennishes that leaving is Angelo’s specialty, and they will not have to worry about his presence for long. Although Regina is furious with Angelo, it becomes clear the two have a more complicated history than any have realized.
Meanwhile, Daphne decides to tell Emmett (Sean Berdy) how she feels about him, triggering a whole stream of emotions for Emmett who has always loved her. Although Emmett knows picking Daphne would be easier than dating Bay, he finds his choice harder to make than he ever expected.

In tonight’s episode “Paradise Lost,” it is Bay (Marano) and Daphne’s (Leclerc) birthday, and the Kennishes have decided to buy each daughter a car. While Bay is excited, Daphne is apprehensive about allowing them to shower her with a gift she knows her mother, Regina (Marie), could never afford.
After Regina’s been hiding out at Melody’s (Marlee Matlin) house for a few days, she hopes to return home to celebrate the girls’ birthdays together with the Kennishes. Meanwhile, Bay and Emmett’s (Sean Berdy) relationship is blossoming, but like most things, has been kept a secret.

Regina begs Daphne (Katie Leclerc) not to tell the Kennishes what she found in the guitar case, leaving her teenage daughter to face this scandal on her own and causing her to rebel in ways she might otherwise not.
After the board reveals what they know about Regina, she is forced to come clean and divulge a heart-breaking revelation to both families.

Katie Leclerc and Vanessa Marano get dolled up in cute mini dresses as they attend the premiere of Captain America: The First Avenger held at the El Capitan Theatre on Tuesday night (July 19) in Hollywood.
The duo were joined by Switched at Birth costar Lucas Grabeel on the red carpet. “Captain America her [sic] I come! Just went through the press line down a Red, White, and Blue carpet. That’s a first,” Lucas tweeted.
Katie, wearing alice+olivia with Aldo heels, chatted with JJJ just the other day about her surprise Teen Choice Award nomination and told us that even if she or Vanessa don’t take home a surfboard that she’s “making an award for her. I love her that much. She’s been so amazing.”

In next week’s episode “The Stag Hunt,” Bay (Vanessa Marano) searches the internet and thinks she has found her birth father, Angelo, and asks Emmett (Sean Berdy) — who has been helping Bay try to find him — and Daphne (Leclerc) to go with her to meet him.
When Daphne finds out that Bay and Emmett have been getting together to track down her birth
father, she grows increasingly upset and maybe a little jealous that they kept this a secret. Even
though she’s angry with them, Daphne chooses to go in hopes of confronting the man who once
abandoned her, but is this the right Angelo Sorrento?
