MacGyver (Lucas Till) tries to be careful not to set the alarm off in the new trailer for CBS’s new series, MacGyver.
The re-imagining of the original series centers on Angus “Mac” MacGyver, who creates a clandestine organization within the U.S. government where he uses his extraordinary talent for unconventional problem solving and vast scientific knowledge to save lives.
The premiere episode “The Rising” debuts on Friday, September 23rd @ 8PM ET/PT on CBS. Watch the new trailer below!
Lucas Till gets embarrassed by his co-stars while speaking on the MacGyver panel during the 2016 TCA Summer Tour at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Wednesday (August 10) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The 26-year-old actor joined cast mates Tristin Mays, Justin Hires, George Eads and Sandrine Holt on the panel before they headed to the CBS party later on that night at Pacific Design Center.
“They say it all the time on the show � obviously I don’t have an aversion for it,” Lucas shared about his character’s first name that in the original series, was not revealed until it’s finale.

The 25-year-old actor, who plays the title character in the upcoming CBS series, chatted with ET about the stunts he’s been doing on the set.
“My stunt double has been just kind of sitting on the sidelines the whole time,” Lucas shared, which is a contrast to what original MacGyver, Richard Dean Anderson, said years ago.
Lucas Till is one of the only two cast members who remain for CBS’ Macgyver after a shakeup this week.
CBS has recruited James Wan, who directed Furious 7, The Conjouring 2 and Saw, to direct the new pilot which will make its debut on the network in September. CSI alum George Eads will also remain on the show.
According to THR, James was originally set to direct the pilot in the first place, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. He’ll remain with the series as an executive producer after.

Lucas will star in the title role of the series reboot, which will debut this fall on Fridays @ 8PM.
