Maddie Poppe and Catie Turner brought American Idol to the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards!
The 20-year-old winner and 18-year-old finalist hit the carpet at the event held on Friday (June 22) at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

During the show, Maddie took to the stage to perform her single “Going Going Gone” and Catie could not have been more supportive!
“i hold nothing back when supporting my friends,” Catie wrote on her Twitter.
The 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards will take place TONIGHT, Friday, June 22nd from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, and air the next day, Saturday, June 23rd on Disney Channel, Radio Disney, the Radio Disney app, and the DisneyNOW app.

Maddie Poppe strums a little song during the 2018 CMA Fest Xfinity Fan Fair X held at Music City Center on Friday (June 8) in Nashville, Tenn.
The 20-year-old singer spoke on a panel during the festival before performing on the Radio Disney Country Stage and in the 28th Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game on Saturday (June 9).
While at the airport waiting for her flight, Maddie revealed that she’d love to meet Raven Symone if she had the chance.
“Why do I have the That’s So Raven theme song stuck in my head while I’m stranded in an airport because my flight is delayed?” she wrote. “Oh actually I know why. It’s because I was thinking I wish I had Raven’s powers so I would have known this flight would be delayed so that I could have switched it.”
American Idol isn’t the only singing competition Maddie Poppe has auditioned for!
After looking through her Instagram page more, we discovered the 20-year-old American Idol champ was also a contestant on The Voice.
“A year ago today was the best day of my life. Most of this day was a blur for me, but the one thing I cherished the most was spending it with my family. We got to experience this amazing adventure as one and had so much fun together that day. But my favorite part about this day was breaking the rules and going to the beach. I seriously have never felt so fulfilled with love and happiness in my entire life. I’m so blessed that I got to experience this amazing journey. ❤️ 10-12-15,” she captioned a collage of photos back in 2016.
While Maddie didn’t make it that far on The Voice, she didn’t give up her dreams and ended up winning American Idol!

Maddie Poppe‘s music video for “Going Going Gone” is in the works!
The 20-year-old singer and American Idol champ shared a couple of photos from the video shoot.
“That moment when your ‘casted friends’ become your real friends,” she shared on her Instagram.
“Had such an awesome time shooting ‘Going Going Gone’ for the past two days with these chicks! It’s definitely been the most fun two days I’ve had since the finale & these three definitely played a part in that. Happy to meet such nice people who make being away from home a little easier. 😊 MORE BTS PHOTOS TO COME!” Maddie added.

The two actresses stepped out for the event on Saturday night (June 2) at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles.

After the show, Maddie took to her Instagram to share all of her photos from backstage.
“Guys I met super famous people tonight & had to walk the red carpet and pretend to know what I was doing while people were yelling my name to look at the camera and it was very overwhelming and crazy but then I met the kid from the Justin Timberlake Super Bowl thing and my whole night was changed. I mean, him and Taylor Lautner, Meghan Trainor, Twitch, Ashlee Simpson, James Marsden and JoJo & Jordan! I mean, this is crazy. Definitely audition for any reality tv show possible because you never know how it will change your life,” Maddie wrote.

The 20-year-old American Idol winner was spotted hanging with The Incredibles on Friday afternoon (June 1) at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.

Maddie looked super cute in jeans and a tee, accessorized with sparkling rose gold Minnie ears!
She took to her Instagram to document her afternoon outing at the park, including a round of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters!
To top off her super fun day, Maddie headed to a Sheryl Crow and James Taylor concert later that evening.
Sounds like a great way to start the weekend!
Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson revealed their secret relationship just before Maddie won American Idol two weeks ago.
Now, the 20-year-old singer is looking back at the boy who dumped her before she won the show.
“The boyfriend I had before Caleb, dumped me in a McDonald’s,” Maddie shared with her local news. “So he’s probably thinking, ‘I should have bought her that 20-piece nugget.”
