The first look at Malibu Rescue‘s new movie The Next Wave is here!

It was announced last November that another Malibu Rescue movie was coming and it’s finally happening.

Here’s a synopsis: It’s summer again, and everyone’s favorite Junior Rescuers, The Flounders, are back at Tower 2. With the International Junior Rescue Championships headed to Southern California, the eyes of the entire planet are on Malibu Beach. But when Team USA falls victim to a bout of food poisoning, it’s up to Tyler, Dylan, Eric, Lizzie and Gina to represent their country in the world’s most extreme lifeguard challenge!

Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave stars Ricardo Hurtado, Breanna Yde, Abby Donnelly, Alkoya Brunson and Jackie R. Jacobson, and premieres August 4th on Netflix!

We are so excited to announce that there’s going to be a second Malibu Rescue movie!

Netflix has greenlit a second movie, titled Malibu Rescue: The Next Wave, starring Breanna Yde, Ricardo Hurtado, Abby Donnelly, Alkoya Brunson and Jackie R. Jacobson.

The first movie kicked off the popular series, which centered on the aspiring junior lifeguards, who compete against the snobby Malibu kids for bragging rights and the ultimate tower at Malibu beach.

Ricardo Hurtado and Breanna Yde go for a run on the boardwalk on the set of Malibu Rescue on Tuesday (October 15) in Malibu, Calif.

The actors were joined by their co-stars Abby Donnelly and Jackie R. Jacobson while filming the second season of their Netflix show.

Breanna, Ricardo and Jackie even chatted with a couple of young fans!

The next day while on set, Ricardo shared a video of Jackie napping in between takes on his Instagram story.

Gina (Breanna Yde) keeps trying to smack some sense into Tyler (Ricardo Hurtado) in the new teaser for the upcoming Malibu Rescue series.

The series will follow and center on “the scrappy group of novice junior lifeguards after they have staked their claim on Malibu Beach and the wild adventures that fill their days in the sun.”

Alkoya Brunson, Abby Donnelly, Jackie R. Jacobson, JT Neal, Bryana Salaz and Jeremy Howard also star.

The flick, which will turn into a series afterwards, stars Ricardo Hurtado, Breanna Yde, Alkoya Brunson, Abby Donnelly, Jackie R. Jacobson, JT Neal, Bryana Salaz and Jeremy Howard.

In Malibu Rescue, Ricardo stars as Tyler, a handsome know-it-all with a fierce competitive streak and Breanna is Gina, a tough and self-assured athlete.

The live action comedy follows a ragtag group of aspiring junior lifeguards from The Valley as they compete against the snobby local kids for bragging rights and the ultimate tower at Malibu beach. Kids and teens alike will root for these heroic and funny underdogs and parents will connect with the positive life lessons for their children.

After the movie debuts, a series will follow and center on “the scrappy group of novice junior lifeguards after they have staked their claim on Malibu Beach and the wild adventures that fill their days in the sun.”
