Riverdale is coming to an end this week after seven seasons on The CW!
The hit drama series was greenlit by The CW in May 2016 and debuted it’s first season in January 2017.
Riverdale was first described as “a surprising and subversive take on Archie (KJ Apa), Betty (Lili Reinhart), Veronica (Camila Mendes), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and their friends, exploring the surrealism of small town life – the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale’s wholesome façade.”
Over the years, the show has gone through many changes, from re-castings to covering many different genres, to the loss of beloved actor Luke Perry.
While the viewership has been there for the show, especially once seasons dropped on Netflix, and it’s been renewed year after year since it’s release, the fans have become wary of the quality of the show and the ratings for each season vary.

Riverdale premiered in 2017 and quickly exploded as one of the most popular shows, not only The CW but on primetime TV!
Since then, the series has catapulted much of it’s younger cast into household names and has continued to reign on the network, going into it’s sixth season.

Ashleigh Murray, Hayley Law and Asha Bromfield are back as Josie and the Pussycats!!
The trio are bringing back their characters on TONIGHT’s (September 8) all new episode of Riverdale.
“I cannot wait until people see it,” showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa told Decider of the ep. “It is one our most fun, strongest episodes. It’s a full-on musical. I love the story that we’re telling with Josie and Ashleigh, of course, but I love giving the spotlight also to Asha and Hayley, and Melody and Valerie.”

The cast of Riverdale have already started filming on the upcoming sixth season of the hit CW series!
Season five wrapped production just a few months ago, in June, and the episodes are still airing on the network.
The series of course stars KJ Apa, Camila Mendes, Lili Reinhart, Madelaine Petsch, Charles Melton, Drew Ray Tanner, Cole Sprouse, Vanessa Morgan, Erinn Westbrook, Casey Cott, Mark Consuelos and Madchen Amick.

Mark Consuelos and his son Michael are sharing the screen together on TONIGHT’s all new episode of Riverdale!
The 24-year-old actor will be playing the younger version of his dad’s character Hiram Lodge/Jamie Luna once again, while Mark will be playing his character’s dad Javier Luna.
