Alfred Molina Reportedly Joins 'Spider-Man 3' To Reprise Doctor Octopus Role!

The Spider-Man 3 cast is getting so much bigger!

It was just announced that Alfred Molina is set to reprise his role of Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus from 2004′s Spider-Man 2, according to THR.

Alfred‘s return is just the latest of past Spider-Man movie characters joining the cast of the new Sony/Disney film.

It has previously been reported that Jamie Foxx will reprise his Electro role from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and JK Simmons is also rumored to be making a return.

The biggest returns of all though, the two previous Spider-Man guys, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, are said to be suiting up as their versions, with all of these castings making the ultimate live-action Spider-Verse movie!

Collider is also now reporting that Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone will be coming back as Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy, respectively.

The above casting announcements have not been officially announced by either Marvel, Disney or Sony, as they try to keep things super secret and under wraps. We cannot wait for this movie though, and this live-action Spider-Verse!!

We have yet to see the character’s debut in the Marvel Universe, as the Black Widow film has been pushed back numerous times in 2020, and is now set to debut in 2021.

Other new additions to the Hawkeye series include Vera Farmiga, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox, and Zahn McClarnon.

OMG! We finally have photos of Hailee Steinfeld on the set of the upcoming Hawkeye series!

The 23-year-old was seen filming scenes with a cute dog and her co-star Jeremy Renner on Thursday (December 3) in New York City.

Hailee was first seen on set earlier this week with Jeremy, while filming in a subway station.

While no official confirmation has been made, despite the photos, it’s believed that Hailee will be playing Kate Bishop, and many believe that she looks just like the comic book character. In the comics, Kate Bishop eventually takes over as Hawkeye from Clint Barton (Renner), which could mean an even bigger role in the Marvel future for Hailee!

The actress/singer was first rumored to be playing the part back in September 2019, and when asked about it, she’s shied away from it or just turned down the rumors.

No word yet on when the Hawkeye series will debut on Disney+, but stay tuned to JJJ!

Andrew Garfield & Tobey Maguire Rumored To Join Tom Holland In 'Spider-Man 3'

Andrew Garfield & Tobey Maguire Rumored To Join Tom Holland In 'Spider-Man 3'

There’s a major rumor that could bring THREE Spider-Man actors together in one movie!

Tom Holland is of course reprising his role in an upcoming third Spider-Man movie for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

FandomWire reports that both Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire have signed on to return as their versions of the webbed superhero!

Andrew most recently played Peter Parker/Spider-Man in The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 in 2012 and 2014. Tobey famously brought Spider-Man and Peter Parker to life in his early 2000s Spider-Man trilogy.

While Andrew and Tobey‘s casting is just a rumor with no official confirmation, it is to be noted that other characters from their movies are set to appear in the upcoming Spider-Man 3 with the MCU.

Jamie Foxx‘s Electro, from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with Andrew, is set to make an appearance, as was announced a couple of weeks ago.

Back in July, JK Simmons, who portrayed J. Jonah Jameson in Tobey‘s Spider-Man series, said that he would appear in a Spider-Man movie yet again, after surprising fans in the end credits of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man: Far From Home.

This would mark a historic moment for a live action Spider-Verse film. We previously got multiple Spider-Mans in the 2018 animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
