Matthew Lewis soaks up the sun while spending the day at the beach with his new wife Angela Jones!

Before tying the knot in Italy, the newlyweds enjoyed some fun in the sun with their friends on Sunday (May 27) in Portofino, Italy.

Matthew and Angela tied the knot in a beautiful destination wedding on Monday and they took to Instagram to share a photo from the occasion.

The couple reportedly first met at a Wizarding World of Harry Potter event at Universal Studios Orlando, where Angela was working as an event planner. Matthew famously played Neville Longbottom in the film series.

Matthew Lewis, otherwise known as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter movies, and Angela Jones are now married!

The actor and the lifestyle blogger revealed the happy news on Monday (May 28) over Memorial Day Weekend.

“Not only did I miss @ArcticMonkeys in LA but they were performing in Italy at the same time we were there and my wife made me get married instead. Fuming,” Matthew joked on Twitter.

The two first got engaged in Paris, France in the fall of 2016. They reportedly first met at a Wizarding World of Harry Potter event at Universal Studios Orlando, where Angela was working as an event planner.

We love when Harry Potter reunions happen, and a major one happened over this past weekend!

Tom Felton blessed us with a pic of him with Matthew Lewis and Emma Watson as they met up in Los Angeles.

“School mates #hogwartsalumni,” Tom captioned the pic with the three stars.

Since the end of the Harry Potter film franchise in 2011, Tom, Emma and Matthew have gone on to have successful careers in film.

Emma most recently starred as Belle in Beauty and the Beast and is very active in the #MeToo and #HeForShe movements.

Meanwhile, Tom‘s recent project, Ophelia, just debuted, and Matt is currently starring in television series, Nutritiously Nicola.

Matthew Lewis aka Neville Longbottom grabs a pint of Butterbeer after a rough weekend while visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood on Tuesday (January 23) in Universal City, Calif.

The 28-year-old Harry Potter actor made his very first visit to the theme park in California, he has been to the land in Orlando, Fla.

The weekend before, Matthew was met with an air travel issue, which caused him to miss a work commitment at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

“I’ve already missed the event I was supposed to be at. That’s done. I’m now only going to #Sundance to see how this @delta performance plays out. Besides, I’ve already been here 11 hours and I’m no quitter. I’m an idiot. But I am not a quitter. Plus @tomfelton is waiting for me,” he wrote.

He did realize that his problem wasn’t so bad when there are far worse things going on in the world. “Never missed a work commitment in my life until today. Astonishing incompetence and mind-numbing bureaucracy from @Delta. I’ll take solace in the fact there are far bigger problems in the world than my little work dilemma. Hope you all got a kick out of it anyway. Peace x.”

Tom Felton and Matthew Lewis, two of the stars from Harry Potter, were supposed to be hanging out together during the 2018 Sundance Film Festival — however, that’s not the case right now.

While Tom headed to a few events like the IMDB Lounge and at Rock & Reilly’s Daytime Lounge, Matthew was still waiting for his flight — which was delayed for hours upon hours.

“I’ve already missed the event I was supposed to be at,” Matthew pointed out on Twitter in a series of tweets. “That’s done. I’m now only going to #Sundance to see how this @delta performance plays out.”

He adds, “Besides, I’ve already been here 11 hours and I’m no quitter. I’m an idiot. But I am not a quitter. Plus @tomfelton is waiting for me.”

In total, Matthew‘s flight was delayed for over 12 hours.

Matthew Lewis says a lot of behind-the-scenes crushing happened while he and his co-stars were filming the Harry Potter movies!

The actor, who portrayed Neville Longbottom in the films, admits that he personally had a longtime crush on Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger.

“I probably had a crush on Emma for a couple of years, until I was 13 or 14 � something like that,” he told Seventeen. “I mean nothing ever came of it, anyway. It never went anywhere.”

He says it’s not awkward, though, and they totally laugh about it now.

“She knows about that,” Matthew added. “It’s not something we’ve not talked about or anything.”

“Effectively for us, it was like being in school,” he explained. “We started tutoring on set and we were on set all the time, so I think that everyone had crushes on everyone else at some point.”

“There was always Valentine’s Day � everyone would write secret Valentine’s cards to different people,” Matthew shared. “I think on the second [film] there was like love notes and love letters flying around… It was just exactly what you would imagine you would get in any high school, just we happen to be in a film studio.”
