Bethany Hamilton meets up with Gabby Douglas on the orange carpet at the 2014 Kids’ Choice Sports Awards held at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles on Thursday evening (July 17).
The two athletes both picked up blimps at the inaugural show for Favorite Comeback Athlete (Bethany) and Best Female Athlete (Gabby).
Gabby and Bethany were also joined at the event by Bethany‘s husband, Adam Dirks, gymnast McKayla Maroney, singer Madison Beer, actress Amber Montana and The Boxtrolls‘s actor Isaac Hempstead-Wright.

In “The Spark in the Park”, A nationally ranked gymnast is murdered and her remains are hit by lightning and strewn about a public park, and evidence suggests she was leading a double life, but Booth (David Boreanaz) is more puzzled by Brennan’s (Emily Deschanel) empathy for the victim’s father.
McKayla will play Ellie, a friend and a rival to the deceased gymnast.
“The Spark in the Park” airs Friday, December 6th @ 8PM ET/PT on Fox.
Kyla Ross shows off her silver medal at the 2013 Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Belgium held at the Antwerp Sports Palace on Saturday afternoon (October 4) in Antwerp, Belgium.
During the week-long competition, the 16-year-old Olympian picked up two silver medals — one for Uneven Bars and another for the Womens All-Round Final.
Kyla‘s teammate McKayla Maroney grabbed the gold medal for the Vault Final on Saturday (October 5).
“To be completely honest, it was kind of scary,” McKayla shared afterwards. “There definitely was some pressure on me. Looking back isn’t going to help you. Moving forward is the thing you have to do.”
Simone Biles, 16, grabbed the gold for the Womens All-Round Final.

Gabby Douglas and McKayla Maroney hit the red carpet at the 2013 ESPY Awards held at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday (July 17) in Los Angeles.
The Olympic gymnasts were joined by their fellow “Fierce 5″ gold medalists Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber (minus Aly Raisman), all of whom are nominated for Best Team.

McKayla Maroney hits up the TEN Sodas Launch event held at Penn Station on Thursday morning (February 28) in New York City.
The 17-year-old Olympic gymnast is the new face for new sodas, and took an instant liking to the 7Up TEN.
“Obviously, I’m not easily impressed,” McKayla shared in a statement. “Other brands have approached me to try their products and talk about them, but 7UP TEN stopped me in my tracks. It’s the first brand that has really impressed me because the soda is just so good! It’s got all of the flavor I want without all the calories of regular soda. It’s a ‘Perfect TENTM’ in my book.”
