First Read & Cover Debut Alert: "Return To Isle of the Lost" by Melissa de la Cruz!

First Read & Cover Debut Alert:

How stunning is the cover of “Return To The Isle of the Lost”?!

The JJJ Book Club has the pleasure of debuting the cover, AND, we’ve even got an excerpt from chapter 1 from the book by Melissa de la Cruz.

Here’s the “Return To The Isle of the Lost” official summary: Mal’s an expert at intimidating her enemies, but she’s broken the habit since leaving her villainous roots behind. So when she and her friends Evie, Carlos, and Jay all receive threatening messages demanding they return home, Mal can’t believe it. Sure, she’s King Ben’s girlfriend now, and she’s usually nice to her classmates, but she still didn’t think anyone would be silly enough to try to push her around.

The thing is, it kind of worked. Especially since she and her friends have a sneaking suspicion that their villainous parents are behind the messages. And when Evie looks into her magic mirror, what she sees only confirms their fears. Maleficent’s just a tiny lizard after her run-in with Mal at Ben’s Coronation, but she’s the worst villain in the land for a reason. Could she have found a way to escape? Whatever’s going on, Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay know they have to sneak back to the Isle and get to the bottom of it.

Without its infamous leader, the island’s even worse than when they left it, but the comforts of homeeven a home as gloomy as the Isle of the Lostcan be hard to resist for recently reformed villains. Will the kids be able to beat the evil bubbling at the Isle’s wicked core, or will the plot to destroy Auradon succeed?

“Return To Isle of the Lost” hits shelves on May 24th!

JJJ Note: The new book is not related in any way to the upcoming Descendants sequel movie.

Melissa de la Cruz Wraps Up 'Witches Of East End' Questions In New Short Story (JJJ Book Club Exclusive)

Raise your hand if you were seriously bummed that Lifetime’s Witches of East End was canceled after just two seasons! Yea, us too…

Good thing that author Melissa de la Cruz LOVES us and gave JJJ the exclusive opportunity to share an excerpt from short story she wrote that will tie up all the loose ends.

The story will also be featured in Melissa’s upcoming novel, “Triple Moon”, which hits shelves on November 10th.

“Triple Moon”, a Summer on East End novel, centers on twin witches Mardi and Molly Overbrook, who after they cause a terrible accident at their old high school, are sent to live with their “Aunt” Ingrid Beauchamp in North Hampton, on Long Island’s mist-shrouded East End. Unable to control their powers, their father begs Ingrid to tame them over the summer, before the White Council exiles the girls to Limbo.

Trouble continues to bubble and boil when the girls meet the younger Gardiner boys, who are just as handsome and sexy as their older kin. But all is not as it seems. As Ingrid helps the girls learn to control their magical impulses, Mardi and Molly have just this summer to figure out how to grow up, how to love, and how to be a family.
