Meryl Davis Debuts Her New Collection Of Vera Bradley Scarves & We Want All of Them!

Meryl Davis Debuts Her New Collection Of Vera Bradley Scarves & We Want All of Them!

We know what’s at the top of our Christmas list this year — the scarves Meryl Davis designed with Vera Bradley!

“We talked about creating a product that would be something I would use every day, so maybe a gym bag, but it didn’t feel like it fit as well,” the 28-year-old Olympic ice dancer dished to PeopleStyle about the collaboration. “I kept telling them all along that I wear scarves every day – no matter the season, I wear scarves and hats all year long [on the ice].”

Meryl continued, “When we’re training, sometimes I’ll tie [the scarves] around my waist, or I’ll have multiple ones on. I’ll be at the rink for like 10 hours, so not only is my neck cold, but my waist, so I’ll tie it around my waist and then I’ll have another one around my neck. It’s like keeping your body warm without having to commit to another layer.”

And like a pro, she even filmed a cute instructional vid on how to wrap your scarves Meryl-style. Check it below!

Meryl is also pictured below at the 36th Annual Salute to Women In Sports in New York City earlier in the month.

The 2014 Olympic Ice Dance Champions spoke with NBCSports afterwards, opening up about the possibility of returning to the competition anytime soon.

“We’re just not on that clock right now, and it’s really nice,” Meryl admitted. “I think we’ll just wait for it to just pop up one day. We’ll just wait for an epiphany.”

Meryl Davis Gushes About 'Sway': 'It's Addicting'

Meryl Davis Gushes About 'Sway': 'It's Addicting'

There’s just one more day until the opening of Sway, A Dance Trilogy at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.

Meryl Davis recently opened up about re-joining the show, where she’ll be doing more than just the two numbers with her Dancing With The Stars pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy this time around.

“Being on stage is an incredible experience. I’ve really only danced in a theater setting once, and that was the last time I did Sway (last December). It’s addicting. Really, what I love most about skating is the ability to perform and express yourself, so getting to do that in another setting, in a different way, is super exciting for me,” she shared. “I love being part of such an energetic, creative group of people. Getting to spend some time in New York and being a part of this production is an honor. It’s kind of surreal.”

Serge Onik, who trained alongside Maks and Val, shared about the show, “Everyone that’s part of the show is family, so you get to really feel that love and passion and true vibe that we create together when we’re performing. There’s a lack of words that explain how amazing Meryl is.”

Meryl added, “Learning the dances and different styles has really opened up my eyes creatively. Watching all the professionals on DWTS and their approach to creativity and making something special and making these moments on the dance floor has enhanced my understanding and appreciation for the different ways to express yourself.”

Sway, A Dance Trilogy opens TOMORROW, June 5th in New York City.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Opens Up About Meryl Davis Friendship & 'Sway'

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Opens Up About Meryl Davis Friendship & 'Sway'

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is ready for more Sway!

The show opens in just TWO WEEKS at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City on June 5th and will have some special guests including Meryl Davis, Amy Purdy and new DWTS champ Rumer Willis!

Maks, 35, chatted with Glamour about the show, dancing with Meryl again and more. Check it:

On the partner he talks most with: Yeah, for sure it’s Meryl. I can always call Mel B., I can always call Denise Richards, I can always call a lot of people, and we’ll have a great time. Every time I see Tia Carrera, it’s like 10 years ago happened five minutes ago. She looks the same. I don’t know if I do, but hopefully I just act a little wiser. These relationships never really go away. You always remember that person. I talk to Meryl a lot because it’s just a different type of partnership. We had a great time. And we won! And obviously I talk to her because she’s awesome and she likes me for some reason. [Laughs] I adore her, she’s awesome. She’s small and she’s big at the same time. She’s Meryl. Who doesn’t like Meryl?”

On making Meryl’s experience better for Sway this time: “Last time she flew in and flew the hell out the same night because she had a show in Japan or something. She never really got to experience it, so I want her to experience everything from the rehearsal days to the show to after the show to the whole thing. But our stuff is different because we introduced a different number in the 10th Anniversary and put together a little paso doble that we haven’t done while we were competing on Dancing With the Stars, so we have that, plus her and Amy. I put them into different parts of the show as well, but I don’t want to reveal too much. They’ll have a lot more stuff to do and enjoy themselves and have fun. She’ll have a great time.”

On if Rumer Willis will be a part of Sway: “We’ll definitely have Meryl in the show, we’ll definitely have Amy [Purdy], which we are super excited about, but to be honest with you, if Val decides to call up and say, ‘Hey, I want Rumer to be in the show because we won the damn thing,’ I’ll be like, ‘Let’s do it! Why the hell not?’ What’s the point of having your own show if you can’t accommodate your friends? We just want to have fun.”

On returning to DWTS: “Definitely not. [Laughs] You have to walk away when the time is right, and the time was right. Nothing was out of ordinary. I think the change of guard is necessary. Like a plant that in order to improve growth, you have to pull branches. It’s the same thing. Every now and again, everything needs to be refreshed… We’ve moved on, and the show is still where it is. You have people like Peta [Murgatroyd] and Val, who kind of became faces of the show, and let’s see what happens. I hope the show stays for another 10 years, and we’ll come celebrate it when we’re a lot older.”
