Naomi Scott gives some edge to her romantic look with some sneakers in these new pics from Teen Vogue‘s September 2019 issue.
The 26-year-old Aladdin star is opening up about her music, heritage and much more in the glossy. Check it:
On appreciating her identity: “Don’t get me wrong, there were moments growing up where you’re like ‘oh I don’t really feel Indian enough.’ But now I’m at a place where I’m like, you know what, it’s OK. It doesn’t make me any less Indian, or any less half Indian. My two favorite meals — one is my mum’s curry and one being a roast dinner. And that is me in a nutshell.”
On her message for anyone in debilitating circumstances similar to her eczema: “I hear you. It’s not nice. You know those days where you want to stay in bed, where you can’t move your neck because it’s so sore – I’m with you. And I guarantee you, the more you own it, the more you feel confident…. This is something I wanted to speak on specifically for this interview because for Teen Vogue, for me, has a real ‘no BS’ honesty thing. If I, out of all people, am honest about my imperfections, then I might just make…I think of a 14-year-old girl and [how] it could make her feel just that bit better: ‘oh, she has it and she plays Jasmine.’”
On appreciating the opportunity to surprise listeners with her music: “I think it has been a real blessing in disguise that I haven’t pressed that button of exposure. I feel so blessed that I was kind of protected from that [...] Now, I am in a position where I know what I want to say, I know who I am.”
We are so bummed that this scene from Aladdin was cut from the final version of the movie, because it’s so good!
Composer Alan Menken explains that the scene was cut for time before explaining what the song was about.
“It’s the moment Aladdin and Jasmine first meet, and they realize this is a song that they both knew growing up,” he says. “But, they both sing that song separately from each other in the movie. It was a beautiful moment.”
Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska star as the Angels, who are working for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose security and investigative agency has expanded internationally. With the world’s smartest, bravest, and most highly trained women all over the globe, there are now teams of Angels guided by multiple Bosleys taking on the toughest jobs everywhere.
The movie hits theaters on November 15th. Be sure to check it out!
Naomi Scott has gotten a lot of rave reviews about her performance as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin, but none will hit you in the heart like Blake Michael’s will.
Blake took to his Instagram to boast about his former Lemonade Mouth co-star.
“Who saw Aladdin? Majorly proud of this girl right here. She crushed!” Blake shared in a new Instagram.
“…No one could deny @naomigscott ridiculous singing voice and on-stage presence while filming Lemonade Mouth. 🍋 👄 I wish you all could have seen the cast and crew’s reaction while filming ‘She’s So Gone’. We knew it would be a hit and Naomi completely crushed that scene at Dante’s pizzeria.”
So sweet!

Naomi Scott‘s vocals in the new Aladdin movie are all hers!
The 26-year-old actress opened up about taking on the opportunity to sing live while filming.
“We had the amazing Simon Hayes, who won the Oscar for Les Mis. So I was like, ‘What a great opportunity to sing live,’” she told Jimmy Kimmel.
“I’m just singing a capella on my own like a crazy person on set,” she continued. “And the worst part is, you can’t really hear yourself, so they can hear when you go off. I wouldn’t want to know what [the crew] were hearing.”
“I popped into the @elcapitanthtre last night to see some awesome people about to watch our movie @disneyaladdin!” she captioned. “Aladdin in cinemas all around the world…can’t promise I’ll make it to every one, but might try and do some today ;) ❤️❤️❤️❤️”
