The Cimorelli member and her husband Nick Reali made the announcement on YouTube on Saturday (February 29).

I just wanna say we are so beyond grateful and excited to welcome our child into this world in August 😭💗🎉✨.”
Christina Cimorelli is sharing her emotional journey of going through a miscarriage.
The Cimorelli member opened up to fans in a YouTube video on Saturday (January 18).
“Christina tells the heartbreaking story of her first pregnancy ending in miscarriage,” the group captioned the video. “Thank you guys for your support and love through this sad and difficult time. Please keep praying for Christina and Nick and their journey toward becoming parents!”
“Also, thank you for all the well wishes and love when you didn’t even know the details of what she was going through but could tell something was wrong,” they continued. “We all are suffering this loss together but are still so hopeful and excited for the day when they can successfully deliver their first child. We have faith! ❤️”
Christina added on Instagram, “I found out I was pregnant September 2019. Nick and I were absolutely overjoyed. Unfortunately, several weeks later I ended up miscarrying and losing my first child. Nick and I went through a rollercoaster of emotions and grief and it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever been through. Through this experience, though, I found something I didn’t expect: strength. I found a strength inside of me I didn’t know existed. I felt a kind of pain I had never felt before. I felt hope and peace coexisting with grief and loss. I felt a level of love and connection with Nick I hadn’t known before. I experienced the intense love a mother has for her child for the first time and I am forever grateful for that.”
“Because of this experience, although it hurt in ways I’ve never felt before, I truly am empowered,” she wrote. “Carrying a human life within you (even if just for weeks) is absolutely beautiful.
I decided to make a video about my experience because I believe miscarriage is something we need to talk about more so that women don’t feel ashamed or alone when going through such a life-altering loss. The video is on our Cimorelli YouTube channel. Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me through this. 💗.”
The 27-year-old singer shared the big news on social media over the weekend and can’t stop spreading her happiness around to her fans — which we love!
“8 years ago from this very night, December 16th, Nick and I started talking to each other as teenagers,” she shared on Instagram. “We were two 19 year olds having long, deep talks on my couch about God, the future, what we wanted, and the different ways we saw life.”
“I had no idea then that 8 years later on December 16th, 2017 he would get down on one knee with tears streaming down his face and ask me to marry him.”
Christina adds, “I cried so much I could barely get the ‘yes’ out! I truly couldn’t feel more blessed. Nick has been my rock these last 8 years through breathtaking ups and heart-wrenching downs. He is the most kind, compassionate and selfless human I’ve ever met and I can’t believe we are going to be husband and wife.”
