Nolan Gould is always there to support his Modern Family co-star Ariel Winter, but really, she doesn’t need it!
The 18-year-old actor recently opened up about how Ariel is a pro at being confident and ignoring haters.
“It’s really cool because I’ve known her since we were 10, so I’ve kind of seen her change and blossom so much,” Nolan told People. “That’s true for all the kids, but especially for Ariel. In recent years, she’s been kind of this role model, this icon for self-image, and respecting your own beauty, and I think it’s great, the work she does, and I think it’s terrible all of the flack she gets on the Internet.”
He added, “The funny thing is, she just doesn’t even need me there to support her, because she’s just so calm and confident, like has her own thing going on. I’m there for her, but she doesn’t even need me. She’s got it handled.”
Meanwhile, Ariel recently credited the cast to giving her confidence!
Vanessa Hudgens is joined by her sister Stella and mom Gina for a Mother’s Day Luncheon on Saturday (May 13) in Malibu, Calif.
The girls stepped out for the luncheon alongside Kaia Gerber and her mom Cindy Crawford, hostesses of the event, Nolan Gould, Dylan Brosnan with his parents, dad Pierce and step-mom Keely, and brother Paris, Milla Jovovich and her daughter Ever, Molly Sims with her daughter, Holly Robinson Peete, Vivica A. Fox, Maria Shriver and her daughter Christina, Lisa Rinna with her family, Frances Fisher, Nancy O’Dell, Jackie Cruz, Amanda Cerny, and Jane Seymour, among others.
The luncheon was held in partnership with the Best Buddies Organization and David Yurman to celebrate the incredible mothers of Best Buddies participants and mothers all around the world, and paying homage to the gifts of love and friendship that mothers give to their children, especially the mothers of best buddies.

Ariel Winter completely wows with a sheer panel gold dress at Modern Family‘s season eight finale screening event in Los Angeles last night.
The actress joined co-stars Nolan Gould, Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Sofia Vergara, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.
While chatting about her hopes for her character Alex Dunphy, Ariel said that she’s love to see her evolve more into an adult.
“I’d like to see her branch out more on her own,” she said.
And Jesse, who plays Mitchell, wants to see Haley (Sarah Hyland) get married and have kids in the possible season nine.

After wrapping up each season of Modern Family, stars Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould and Rico Rodriguez always write a little goodbye to the set, and nothing has changed.
The three actors, along with Aubrey Anderson-Emmons and Ariel Winter, all wrapped up production on their story arcs for season 8 this week in Los Angeles.
“After 8 years of being on a tv show such as #modernfamily I have to say, with the most love in my heart, how proud I am to be a part of something so iconic,” Sarah wrote on Instagram later that day.
She adds to the fans, “8 years! Thank you guys for watching and sticking with us through all of our fake family ups and downs! This has been the most amazing experience of my life! Hope to see you all for another season!”

The new couple hit the red carpet together at the 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 29) in Los Angeles, and looked so in love while sharing a cute kiss.
Ariel, wearing a gorgeous gold gown to the show, also met up with on-screen bro Nolan Gould.
The duo’s on-screen sis, Sarah Hyland, won’t be at the show this year, after dealing with some health issues over the weekend. We miss you Sarah!

Ariel Winter is almost to her 20s!
The Modern Family actress celebrated her 19th birthday yesterday with a slew of her friends, and on-screen sibs Sarah Hyland and Nolan Gould also sent her the sweetest birthday messages.
“Happy 19th Birthday to the little sister I always wanted but never had.,” Sarah wrote. “I know 19 is the most useless age as you get older but think of it as one year closer to your 20s! Love you so much.”
Nolan added, “Happy birthday to the best TV sister a guy could ask for (not counting @therealsarahhyland) Love ya @arielwinter.”

Later on, Sarah alerted fans that she wouldn’t be at this year’s 2017 Screen Actors Guild Awards.
“Sad to say I will not be attending the sag awards today for some health reasons,” she captioned on Instagram. “Ps. You know my dress was gonna be turnt too.”

Along with Ariel Winter, Luke Benward and Nolan Gould, plus Ariel‘s BFF Jessie Bergg, the group headed to Bora Bora to kick off 2017.
