Walt Disney World Files Lawsuit Against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

Walt Disney World Files Lawsuit Against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis

The battle between Walt Disney World and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis just got legal.

The Orlando Disney theme park has now filed a lawsuit against the politician, as it was revealed on Wednesday (April 26).

If you recall, after Disney spoke out against the Governor’s HB 1557, aka the “Don’t Say Gay” law, he retaliated by going after their special district, the Reedy Creek Improvement District. The state House and Senate voted to strip the district, which resulted in it being taken over and renamed as the Central Tourism Oversight District, with DeSantis-appointed board members.

The back and forth between Disney and DeSantis has been quite public, and this new lawsuit is the latest, with Disney asking the court to declare the dissolved district unlawful and the result as a violation of the First Amendment.

Zendaya & Lauren Jauregui React to Donald Trump's Controversial CNN Tweet

Both Zendaya and Fifth Harmony‘s Lauren Jauregui are young women who speak up for what they believe in and we love them for it.

That’s why it’s no surprise that the two of them took to Twitter in response to President Donald Trump‘s tweet yesterday that seemingly incited violence against journalists.

He posted a video of an altered wrestling match in which he is knocking out someone with the CNN‘s logo on their head.

And it’s upsetting a lot of people.

Both Lauren and Zendaya were shocked by the tweet.

“I just want you all to remember… this is a tweet from the ‘president,’” Z tweeted. “Like no one hacked it, it’s not a parody account…that’s really him…that sh*t is just embarrassing.”

“How the f-k are you a president,” Lauren wrote in a direct reply.

“It’s a lot of who I am and what I want to talk about. I’m sure that there will be allusions to all sorts of stuff going on right now once I sit down and start creating the body of work that I want to put out,” Lauren told Teen Vogue. “For now, I’m very focused on Fifth Harmony. We’re making an album right now. We’re chilling. We’re so happy and we’re moving forward. I’m really excited for this chapter for us to be able to close that and do us.”

Lauren often talks to the other 5H ladies about what’s going on in Washington.

“I tell them everything. I’m like, ‘Guys, Trump just signed another executive order. We need to know what’s going on.’ They’re also super-aware and they also are super-passionate about this stuff, too, in their own way,” Lauren said.

But what does she do to wind down and not get overwhelmed by everything?

“I try to be as mindful as possible and focus on love,” she said. “I feel much calmer if I meditate for an hour and surround myself with my crystals, and I just sit there for a second and cry if I have to. That makes me feel better.”
