Abigael is described as “a powerful and mysterious witch”, who is “brought into the fold by Macy (Madeleine Mantock), who finds her in an injured and terrified state after embarking on a solo mission.
With Abigael (Poppy Drayton) holds onto her injured arm in this still from tonight’s all new Charmed.
In “Careful What You Witch For”, while Mel (Melonie Diaz) and Harry (Rupert Evans) try to crack the Book of Elders, Macy (Madeleine Mantock) struggles with the good and bad aspects of her demon side.
Macy also ventures out alone and meets an injured and terrified witch named Abigael.
Meanwhile, Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) competes with Jordan (Jordan Donica) for a promotion, and Mel and Harry visit another dimension.
Just ahead of the premiere last night, Poppy took to Twitter sending the sweet message to her fans.
“Amberle is always with you,” she wrote. “Watch my friends & some amazing new cast pull out all the stops.”
While many fans were thinking that Amberle wouldn’t be in the premiere at all, they were wrong and she actually was!
After ending up in the water after a battle with some trolls, Eretria (who doesn’t know that Amberle turned into the Ellcrys tree at the end of season one) sees a vision of Amberle there.
The vision warns her about a new darkness is coming, and the fate of the world depends on her finding Wil.
However, author Terry Brooks (who wrote the novels of the same name which inspired the show) says that if MTV decides to bring Poppy Drayton back, there could possibly be a way…without her coming out of the tree.
“I will say that once a chosen becomes the ellcrys tree, they are always the tree,” he told JJJ, adding, “You’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”
“I know that she probably wishes she’d gotten a different role, because she really liked the series, but her life was finite in that particular storyline,” Terry added.
Poppy Drayton and Austin Butler chat up their new show, The Shannara Chronicles, during the panel during the 2016 Television Critics Association Press Tour at Langham Hotel on Wednesday afternoon (January 6) in Pasadena, Calif.
The two actors were joined by co-stars John Rhys-Davies, Ivana Baquero, Manu Bennett, plus executive producers Al Gough, Miles Millar, Jon Favreau, Jonathan Liebesman, and executive producer/author Terry Brooks.
“We do think there’s a real appetite for the show. It’s based on a classic book series, and we think it works on cable. It works for binge-watching. It’s very accessible on all platforms,” Milesshared while speaking with press.
John added, “It’s not mined out. Plus, this material has real history. Our writer started this in 1976!”
