Rachel Skarsten took her final bow as Queen Elizabeth I on tonight’s series finale of Reign.

Like us all, she’s going to miss portraying Elizabeth The Great on the small screen.

In a short and sweet letter, Rachel says goodbye to Elizabeth, and the amazing Reign fans.

This is one of JJJ‘s favorite friendship stories ever!

We all know that on-screen in Reign, Adelaide Kane and Rachel Skarsten are bitter enemies, but in real life they really are BFFs.

“Rachel is one of my best friends now, and I remember her coming on at a time when we had lost a few of the girls [ladies in waiting],” Adelaide remembers, in our exclusive interview with her. “I was just so excited to have another women on set, because we just had so many men.”

After it was announced that Rachel would be joining the series as Elizabeth I, Adelaide was so excited.

“I had already creeped her on Twitter and Instagram and thought she looked really fun and I was really keen on develop a friendship with her,” she says. “I had reached out to her on Twitter to welcome her to the show and then she was on set and I was so nervous that she wouldn’t like me or want to be friends with me.”

It’s a fear that many of us get when we meet new people — that they won’t like us in return.

Adelaide actually felt the same way: “I was just bullied a lot in school and I get so nervous around other women. But we just ended up hitting if off and it turned into us being the best of friends.”

When we talked of fans calling the twosome Radelaide, Adelaide admits that loves it!

“It’s super cute that the fans call us that,” she said. “I also take credit for coining #Rachface. All of her random facial expressions that she insists on posting (laughs). She has such an expressive face and a big personality and i just hash tagging it. Now all the fans have just started picking it up. It’s amazing.”

Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth I have found each other!

Reign actors Adelaide Kane and Rachel Skarsten met up with each other over the first weekend of Coachella at the Neon Carnival.

Earlier, Adelaide shared her whole day with fans on Instagram Stories.

Her first stop was a workout with the Victoria’s Secret Angels, before heading to the Revolve party and then to a few concerts.

Rachel Skarsten, what are you doing to us?!

We had the exact same expression Adelaide Kane has in this photo when the actress uploaded her most recent pic and it’s tearing us to bits!

Rachel, who plays Queen Elizabeth I in the series, shared an emotional picture on her Instagram following the cast’s live tweet session for the season premiere of Reign last night.

“When your bestie is little, you gollum for the hug,” she captioned, which shows her reaching out to Adelaide for a huge hug.

We love that Rachel and Adelaide are such besties in real life — but we have to wonder, is this moment actually from the series finale? It looks like Adelaide is just breaking and we’re breaking with her!

Whoever said that cousins are your first friends, was not in any way referring to Mary, Queen of Scots and Queen Elizabeth I.

The two queens are battling for the throne in the newest promo for Reign and JJJ doesn’t even know what side to be on!

“Mary tried to strike me down, she is my enemy,” Elizabeth, played by Rachel Skarsten, says.

Mary, played by Adelaide Kane, comes back: “I need power and I must do whatever it takes to get it.”

Reign is back NEXT Friday, February 10th!

The cast and crew of Reign are giving us serious feels!

The entire crew have been posting goodbye messages and sharing pics all over and JJJ can’t hold it together.

While queen cousin actresses Adelaide Kane and Rachel Skarsten are still currently shooting, most of the others have wrapped on their characters — like Celina Sinden, Megan Follows, Will Kemp and Dan Jeannotte.

“My very last shot… It’s been such a huge pleasure joining the cast and crew of #reign for their final season,” Will wrote last week after his final shot. “I can’t wait for fans to see all the work we have done – you are in for such a treat! #grateful #season4 #thanks #puttingDarnleytobed #everydayatworkisagoodday.”

Megan, who plays the third queen on the show, Catherine, shot her very last scene yesterday.

“It’s a wrap for me. I have loved acting on and directing this show,” she writes. “I have such respect for this crew. One of the finest I’ve ever worked with. Please join us Feb 10 for a fantastic season. #reignseason4 #reign #reigncw.”
