The Looking Ahead Awards honors leaders in the current and former young performer community who inspire the world by living the program’s core values of growth, education, leadership and community service.
Andi Mack was awarded with The Elizabeth Taylor Award for Social Awareness from Elizabeth Taylor’s great-granddaughter Vivian McMurray and grandson Tarquin Wilding; while Raven-Symoné was presented with The Looking Ahead Award for Education from Debbie Allen.
Meanwhile, Monique received The Looking Ahead Award for Community Service from her HSM director Kenny Ortega.

The on-screen Baxter fam stepped out to kick off promo for the special musical episode of Raven’s Home, happening this week.
“It was a lot of talk and build up and anticipation,” Navia says about the show getting to do a musical episode just like the original series, That’s So Raven, did.
She adds that “we were all kind of nervous to find out what the storyline would be, for what our characters would sing and we just wanted it to be authentic and live up to [the That's So Raven musical episode].”

In “Raven’s Home: Remix”, Booker sets out to land the starring role in the school’s musical about a boy who loves playing basketball and performing hip-hop. When Raven has a vision of Booker receiving a standing ovation, she’s convinced he’s perfect for the role and encourages him to go for it.
However, when Nia discovers the part requires someone who is great at basketball and can rap – two things Tess excels at – she tries to convince Coach Spitz to let Tess audition for the role. When he refuses because Tess is a girl, a determined Nia takes a stand to prove girls can do anything boys can do.
The digital soundtrack for the special episode features all original songs and will be available for download and at streaming services on Sunday, October 7th.
Raven’s Home: Remix will debt on Friday, October 12th on Disney Channel.
“It means the world to me,” Raven shared about the impact the movie has had on fans and all the DCOMs that have since been made. “It means that I chose a project that stood the test of time. That was the most ego-centric sentence ever said, I guess!”
She adds, “Just to know that generations outside of the original generation have embraced us — what we did and what Cheetah Girls stood for — and they are down for girl power. That brings joy. It was a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be a part of something that’s had a following for so many years and I embrace that.”
“I thank the supporters and people who loved it because we could not have done it without them. It could have been a totally different cast and I would not have been involved and I would have been so jealous, but it was us!”
Raven also opened up about her instant connection with Belinda, who starred in Cheetah Girls 2; and Sabrina and Kiely revealed that their friendship that started on set is still going strong today.
“Sabrina and I are still incredibly close, in fact, she was maid of honor at my wedding and this fall, I will be by her side as her matron of honor,” Kiely revealed.
The actress, and executive producer on the Disney Channel series confirmed that the actor who played her father, Victor Baxter, in the original series, Rondell Sheridan, will be guest starring in the show.
“My dad comes back, Rondell Sheridan,” Raven gushed during her recent interview on CBS’ The Talk.
She adds that he tried to add in his catchphrase, too!
“He doesn’t say, ‘Kapowie.’ He tried to put that in there and we’re like, ‘Take that out,’” she laughs.
