Connor Franta Gives Advice on How to Find Your Social Media Aesthetic

Connor Franta Gives Advice on How to Find Your Social Media Aesthetic

If you’re struggling with figuring out your social media aesthetic, Connor Franta is here to help.

Here’s what the YouTube sensation had to share during his brand-new shoot with RAW:

On how he found his own aesthetic: “Trial and error. Just try things and figure out what works for you personally. Also, I’ve also been doing this for seven years, so it takes time (laughs). It just comes with time and practice.”

On the moment he realized social media was blowing up: “It was probably right after the first VidCon I went to. It was absolutely insane. I went as a fan, but I was also getting recognized a little bit for making YouTube videos too, so it just started to become more and more real because I was meeting people in the same industry and I had people wanting to meet me for doing something that I had admired for so long. So that was kind of like the first moment—that first ‘oh s–t’ moment.”

On his advice for anyone who’s afraid to come out of the closet: “Take your time. It’s very, very situational, so make sure you’re in a safe environment and make sure the time is right for you. Don’t let anyone pressure you into coming into yourself too early, that is a personal decision. So know that it will happen eventually, it will happen in your own time, and everything will be okay.”

Teen Wolf's Froy Gutierrez Shares His Favorite Memory From Set!

Teen Wolf's Froy Gutierrez Shares His Favorite Memory From Set!

Froy Gutierrez puts his arm muscles on display in this snap from his hot new feature for RAW!

Here’s what the Bella and the Bulldogs star had to share with the outlet:

On being half-Mexican and his best memories of Mexico: “I spent all my summers there until I was 12 and I spent the majority of my first five years of my life there. So I have lots of memories, mainly with my cousins because they live there. I just remember living in my grandpa’s house and we would just throw around avocados in the backyard with our feet, like soccer, but not really because we didn’t know what soccer was at the time… because we were 5-years-old. (laughs) But I’m probably like the only millennial who doesn’t like avocados. (laughs)”

On his favorite Teen Wolf scene to film: “I had so many! Particularly toward the end of Teen Wolf because we did this giant action scene, I got to have this James Bond moment where I was just this dorky little white boy walking down the hallway. I just felt like such a badass for a second.”

On what he does to get out of dark places: “(breathes in deeply) The best thing you can do is just have someone to talk to. You’re always surrounded by people that love you even though you don’t think that you are, even when you feel very alone. There’s people that you can talk to and there’s always someone you can get your emotions out with. That’s just important to remember–you’re never alone. There’s always someone there. And just think talking, exercising, listening to music, finding hobbies that you’re passionate about are all super important to get through a dark phase in your life. I always think about all those things and really take it to heart and just… find someone to talk to. Too often, we have emotions and problems that we just bottle up and put a lid on it and I don’t think that’s very healthy. You gotta let it out! Everyone has problems, you’re never alone. That’s my motto.”

Bizaardvark's Ethan Wacker Reveals How He Booked His Role

Do you remember those commercials you would hear on the radio or television asking you if you want to be on Disney Channel?

Well, Ethan Wacker does; and it’s actually how he got to be on the channel!

In his new feature with RAW Pages, the Bizaardvark actor opened up about how he begged his parents to let him go, not realizing it could turn into a big career move.

“I was obsessed with Disney Channel when I was 11-years-old, so I was like, ‘Yes! Dad, please! Mom, please!’ They were like, ‘No…’ but after my sister and I begged them enough, they actually did it,” Ethan shared. “We went to this open call, got called back to Los Angeles, went to this convention, met my agent and manager, and they just started sending me out on auditions.”

Eventually, Ethan booked a role on Paige and Frankie, which turned into Bizaardvark.

“The pilot was just about them, their family, their lives, and they didn’t have a a Vuuuuuuuugle channel called Bizaardvark,” he adds. “I actually played Paige’s little brother, Trey. I was a little bro for a little bit.”

After the show transformed, Ethan actually had to re-audition for Bernie.

“They kind of transformed the pilot and my character, Trey, was taken out so I had to re-audition for Bernie, so I didn’t get carried over.”

Bizaardvark returns on Tuesday, July 24th on Disney Channel.

Johnny Orlando Opens Up About Writing His Own Music with RAW

Johnny Orlando puts his boxing gloves on and takes his shirt off in this new shot from his feature with RAW Pages.

The 15-year-old singer opened up with the online glossy about his start, his upcoming music and more. Check it:

On writing his own music: “I do write my own music now. For the past year I’ve been kind of collaborating with a bunch of people, and before that Darian was the main person that wrote the music because I was just an L.B., little boy. So yeah, I didn’t really write too much but now I do! And my favorite places to write are in the studio and also just in my bed.”

On growing up with a lot of sisters: “It was really hard because they always go out of their way to annoy me…even now! Thanks, Darian, and she’s sitting over there. She’s one of them. (laughs) But I love them. I love them dearly. (laughs)”

On his Justin Bieber covers: “The first one that we ever put out was called ‘Mistletoe’, it was by [Justin] Bieber and we were pretty bored. We had nothing to do and just started to make music I guess and put it on the internet (laughs), but the first one that started gaining some traction was probably ‘Boyfriend’. We did that about six months later and it actually got on Ryan Seacrest’s ‘Bieber Off’ contest, and it was really, really cool experience. We didn’t win the contest but we came close, and he also said my name on air so that’s pretty cool too.”
