The couple spent their new year celebrations with her family and friends, including brothers Riker, Ross, and Ryland, as well as parents Stormie and Mark.
Rydel and Ellington shared a real life Tangled moment as they released a sky lantern together, letting go of problems and worries of 2017.

R5 perform in a dimly lit studio in their new music video for “Lay Your Head Down.”
The band teased the release of something music related to come out on December 21, just before Christmas.
“Lay Your Head Down (Live In Studio),” the band’s Twitter account wrote on the day of the release.
“Lay Your Head Down” is featured on their latest EP, New Addictions.
The whole band has been spending time in Colorado for the holidays, and Rydel and Ellington posed in their holiday PJs for a super cute photo together.
The R5 couple have been spending their Christmas vacation in Colorado with friends and family, and Rydel has been documenting the whole trip on Instagram.
“MERRY CHRISTMAS LOVERS,” she captioned the photo with her boyfriend. The two also met up underneath the mistletoe for a smooch.
The couple was joined by her brothers Riker, Rocky, and Ross, as well as their cute pup Velvet and more.
In case you missed it, Rydel jokingly proposed to Ellington in a recent episode of R5TV, where she wrote the proposal in the sand on the beach.

The R5 singer was joined by her bandmates – boyfriend Ellington Ratliff and brothers Ross, Riker, and Rocky – plus brother Ryland, who all dressed up as Playboy bunnies!
Also in attendance at the event was Courtney Eaton, dressed up as a fierce and bloody warrior version of Little Red Riding Hood. She was joined by friends Savannah and Brandon Hudson from The Heirs.
Bethany Mota dressed up as her own version of Maleficent. Calum Worthy and his girlfriend Celesta Deastis dressed up as Scooby-Doo characters Shaggy and Velma. Alex Lange wore a simple bandana around his neck.
R5 just wrapped up their New Addictions Tour and we’re kind of sad about it TBH!
The group played the last show of the run over the weekend in Poland and took to Instagram to commemorate the end of the tour.
“what an amazing tour! thank u all so so much for everything! all the hugs, all the screams, all the LOUD singing, all the big SMILEs! I LOVE YOU ???? xoxo,” Rydel wrote on her account.
Riker added, “Last show of the Europe tour tonight in Poland! It’s been an amazing time! Thank you!! #NewAddictionsEuropetour”
Even though the tour is over, we can’t wait to see what the band is up to next!
