On My Block is finally back on Netflix and JJJ got almost no sleep because we had to binge it right away.
The question that pretty much everyone had at the end of season one’s shocking cliffhanger is what happened to Ruby and Olivia?
We knew that Ruby was alive, however, it seems that Olivia did not make it.
The premiere episode actually began showing all the sidewalk memorials for young lives lost to violence in the area and while we didn’t see Olivia’s until later on, it was a pre-cursor to finding out she had died.
The rest of the season focuses more on Ruby, who is struggling to deal with his grief.
We won’t spoil anything more, but you can watch the full second season of On My Block on Netflix now.
The coming-of-age comedy tells the story of four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and newness of high school set in the rough inner city of South Central Los Angeles. Dealing with the danger of getting their friend out of a gang and friends turning into romance, danger is constant.

The core four ofOn My Block hit the stage to accept the surfboard for Choice Breakout Show at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards held at The Forum on Sunday (August 12) in Inglewood, Calif.

On My Block was renewed for a season two by Netflix earlier this year.

On My Block is undoubtedly one of the best shows on Netflix (and even mainstream television) right now, and Ronni Hawk‘s Olivia was one of the biggest talked about characters from the series.
If you haven’t watched the show yet, go do it or risk being spoiled about what happens to Ronni‘s character – she gets shot in the final episode!
Fans were really shook about what happened to Olivia and Ruby, too.

Ronni Hawk steps out in a chic white dress at the screening of Netflix’s Dear White People season 2 held at ArcLight Cinemas on Wednesday night (May 2) in Hollywood.
The 18-year-old actress was joined by her On My Block co-stars Diego Tinoco and Brett Gray for the event.
If you missed it, On My Block was recently renewed for a second season by Netflix.
One of the co-creators Eddie Gonzalez opened up in a recent interview about his personal hopes for season two, and what fans could expect.
“There are a lot of themes we’d like to explore,” he says. “Sadly, shootings like the one in the finale take place all over the country, so one of the themes we’d like to explore is survivor’s remorse and guilt.”
