The CW series will begin airing season two TONIGHT (March 16) and even though Max is completely dead, he’s still going to be involved in the story.
In “Stay (I Missed You)”, torn between the heartache of Max’s (Nathan Parsons) sacrifice and the joy of Rosa’s (Amber Midthunder) resurrection, Liz (Jeanine Mason) suppresses her grief to focus on moving out of Roswell with Rosa.
Meanwhile, Michael (Michael Vlamis) copes with Max’s death in his own self-destructive way, while Isobel (Lily Cowles) focuses her attention on honing her alien powers.
Finally, Liz makes an alarming discovery after Rosa begins experiencing mysterious side effects from her resurrection.
Tune in for the season two premiere of Roswell, New Mexico TONIGHT (March 16) at 9/8c on The CW!
Nathan Parsons and Jeanine Mason appear on stage during the Roswell, New Mexico panel during New York Comic Con on Sunday (October 6) at the Javits Center in New York City.
The actors were joined at the event by co-stars Tyler Blackburn, Michael Vlamis, and Lily Cowles, and executive producers Julie Plec, Carina Adly MacKenzie, and Chris Hollier.
During the panel it was announced that original Roswell cast member Jason Behr will join the cast of The CW’s reboot series.
“We’re very excited that Jason will be joining us for a multi-episode arc. It’s only fitting that he’s playing a (currently top secret) character with deep ties to Roswell, New Mexico’s history. Working with him has already been such a special experience for all of us –– particularly when [Roswell co-star] Shiri Appleby was on set to direct him. I was such a huge fan of Roswell as a kid, so having their stamp of approval –– not to mention their expertise and advice –– has really meant the world to me, the cast and the crew,” Carina said in a statement.
It was also announced that Friday Night Lights‘ Gaius Charles will play Bronson, a local farmer with a strong moral compass that leads him to see the good in people –– and aliens –– in a time of great prejudice. Ultimately, his quest to protect those he loves pits him against forces far more powerful than he is.
The actress – along with co-stars Heather Hemmens and Amber Midthunder – showed off the front of the first episode’s script on social media on Friday (August 9).
“I promised a fan I’d write this on the cover of my first season 2 script before we even got picked up,” Jeanine captioned the images below on Instagram. “This feels so good. Ladies are back in town. 201 here we come. THANK YOU! #RoswellNM 👽.”
The writing reads, “Things don’t happen to Liz Ortecho, Liz Ortecho makes things happen.” (Liz is Jeanine Mason‘s character on the series.)
The first episode of the second season of Roswell, New Mexico, titled “Stay (I Missed You),” is set to premiere in 2020 on The CW.
Fans can pick up the issue for free at the DC Warner Bros. booth (#4545 on the convention floor) at 2019 San Diego Comic-Con from July 17th until July 21st. It will also be on newsstands from July 16 until October 14, 2019, and available for purchase on TVGuideMagazine.com/comiccon!

She protects his secret as the two reconnect and begin to investigate his origins, but when a violent attack and long-standing government cover-up point to a greater alien presence on Earth, the politics of fear and hatred threaten to expose him and destroy their deepening romance.
