Batwoman is reviving Batman’s Batcave in this new teaser trailer for the upcoming CW show!
In the teaser clip, Batwoman addresses the disappearance of her cousin Batman and heads to his lair. She then flips a switch to turn the lights on and see what she’s got to work with to continue the legacy.
Star Ruby Rose recently opened up about being first person to play the character in a live action version and the public scrutiny she may receive after it premieres.
“I auditioned a lot for the role. I think I’m doing a good job. I love the pilot, I love what I do,” she told The New York Times. “I can’t please everybody and some people will love it, some people will like it, some people will have thought I wouldn’t be good and might be impressed.”
“Some people might be like ‘I still hate her!’ And that’s fine. That’s life,” she added. “I’m not going to be on my deathbed one day like, ‘I wish strangers on the internet that I never met liked me more.’ I’m going to be thinking, ‘This is so awesome I got to play Batwoman for the first time, and no one else had played her.’ That’s my legacy and I’m going to own that.”
Batwoman premieres on Sunday, October 6th at 8pm ET/PT on The CW.

Katherine McNamara gets her family pic with Arrow co-stars Stephen Amell, Ben Lewis and David Ramsey while arriving for The CW’s Summer 2019 TCA Party held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday evening (August 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Stephen Amell and David Ramsey sit on a panel for their show Arrow at the 2019 Summer TCA Press Touron Sunday (August 4) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The two stars were joined by executive producers Beth Shwartz and Marc Guggenheim to talk about the show’s upcoming final season.
During the panel, it was revealed that the season will take place in 2019 and on Earth 1, and will also pick up one week later from the season seven finale, The Wrap reports.
“You guys. This. Is. So. EXCITING! One of those moments where I feel like I dedicate this to all my haters,” Caity joked about her own cover.
Grant added about his cover, “I can’t believe this is a real cover. I had so much fun doing this shoot with @entertainmentweekly. Thank you so much for giving me the honor. This is everyone’s first peek at the season 6 suit(sans cowl).”
Lucy Hale meets up with the cast of Charmed in this shot from inside The CW Network 2019 Upfronts Party held at The Pool on Thursday night (May 16) in New York City.
Rachel Skarsten turns heads in her bright red suit while arriving for the 2019 CW Network Upfront held at New York City Center on Thursday (May 16) in New York.
Joined by star Ruby Rose, as well as Dougray Scott, Camrus Johnson, Meagan Tandy, Nicole Kang and Elizabeth Anweis, the cast met up to promote their new show, Batwoman, coming to the network this fall.
“Without getting too into it, I think it’s so relevant to now,” Ruby shared about the series hitting all the right notes. “We are telling such real stories, such grounded stories. We have such a beautiful, diverse cast. We have the relationships within the cast, or characters rather—and in real life—the arcs are so true and layered and difficult and tricky in some instances and beautiful in other instances. But they’re complicated and they’re real…”
She continues, “I think that’s one of the things that is really important to see, not just like a flawless perfect superhero—which doesn’t exist anyway—but I mean the idea of that.”
“There’s a lot in there that I think viewers can watch at any age group and find people to identify with and get solace out of that or inspiration or just feel like they’re not the only person that’s like that and that’s super important.”
Another series that The CW picked up was Batwoman!
The series follows Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) as “she soars onto the streets of Gotham as Batwoman, an out lesbian and highly trained street fighter primed to snuff out the failing city’s criminal resurgence.
“But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.”
Ruby actually made her debut as the caped hero in the 2018 Arrowverse crossover “Elseworlds.”
