There are only a few more days until the premiere of Kim Possible and star Sadie Stanley is spilled a ton of secrets about the flick.
Talking with Seventeen, the 17-year-old actress opened up about training to become the teenage superhero.
“It was a very empowering experience,” she says about training for a month before shooting started. “I feel like as I went through that month, I was becoming more like Kim Possible so it was a very nice transition to filming and made me feel like I could really do this.”
Sadie adds that there was a lot of harness work for the movie, too.
“The second to last day we were filming, we were doing a bunch of green screen stuff. So I was in the harness for like 8 to 10 hours. It’s really fun at first cause you’re like, ‘I’m flying,’ and then it gets a little uncomfortable.”

Kim Possible premieres Friday, February 15th @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
Sadie Stanley, Ciara Wilson and Sean Giambrone brave the cold temps outside to take a pic in Times Square in New York City on Thursday afternoon (January 31).
Joined by Taylor Ortega and Todd Stashwick, the group took a pic in front of the Disney Store ahead of meeting kids and families for an autograph signing.
Earlier, Christy Carlson Romano opened up about choosing not to give any advice to Sadie about playing the title character in Kim Possible.
“Out of respect to the directors and also to the process of a young actress, Sadie, learning about what her interpretation of Kim was, I chose not to be vocal about anything in particular with what I would think or would do or say,” she shared with EW.
“It wasn’t my place to overstep and try to be a control freak. I wanted them to experience Kim for how they saw her.”
However, Christy was happy to be a part of the movie in a different way, as Poppy Blu.
“I thought it was really fun that they asked me to be that cameo, but I kind of look at it as a character,” she adds. “When I approached Poppy Blu, I wasn’t just playing it as Christy Romano, I really approached her as a character. I’m going to be very transparent in that I hope Poppy Blu comes back.”
Sadie Stanley joined her Kim Possible cast-mates in the photo booth after their appearance at Build Series in New York City on Thursday (January 31).
The 15-year-old actress, with Ciara Wilson, Sean Giambrone, Taylor Ortega, and Todd Stashwick, dished about their upcoming movie, premiering on Disney Channel next week.
Sadie revealed in the interview that Kim Possible was actually her first audition ever.
“I felt like I was very out of my league,” she shared. “I thought I was going to start a lot smaller in terms of auditions.”
Sadie adds, “I think that’s what worked for me in that I went into the audition with this attitude of I’m just going to have fun.”
Revealed on EW today, the actress, who voiced the character in the animated series for years, will be playing Poppy Blu, a famous pop star and friend of Kim’s.
“I’m here to pick Kim up because Kim doesn’t have a driver’s license,” Christy shared, hinting at the nod to the animated series where Kim would call on many of her friends for rides all over the world. “She doesn’t have her driver’s license, but she needs to get rides from the Marines or famous people, if you remember, to get to her missions.”
She added, “Kim is just like every teenager, but she happens to know some really important people, and Poppy Blue happens to be one of those important people.”
Kim Possible is set to premiere on Friday, February 15th on Disney Channel.
